Caught the Last In Line show in Houston last night. The band is absolutely killer. A few takeaways. They looked happy to be on stage and playing. They put on a great show for 500 people like it was a stadium. And their enthusiasm reverbated throughout the room. Also, the Engl Blackmore will be my next tube amp. Good god that thing sounded so damn good.

Awesome. Unfortunately, they're not coming anywhere near SoFlo.would love to see them.

Thanks for the heads up! Playing at a bar about 4 hours away in a little over two weeks from me.

Hey I think Viv is using the ENGL Artist BTW, it is a take on the blackmore, great amp

According to a recent interview, he stated that he is using Blackmores. This is a photo I took of his setup for the show.

Totally agree 100%. They put on an amazing show and could not have appeared any happier to be up there. Honestly, I expected there to be a slight 80’s cheese factor, but there was absolutely none. Just four consummate pros having a great time and showing how TF it’s done. Viv is obviously still at the top of his game and his tone was vicious. I’ll definitely be seeing them again.

Does he rock much of a pedalboard or is is mainly from the amp?

He had a wah pedal on the floor. lol! That was it.
Nice! Actually using all the channels of the amp. Less stuff in the way, nice and simple. They are good sounding amps.

Look at the settings on both amps. They look identical and the knob on the left is all the way down. Can anyone speak to this approach?

Looking at my Blackmore now and comparing... On the left that is a clean volume. And the two knobs on the far right are master A and B. So, he isn't using Master A and no clean sounds. Very strange because I prefer Master A for rhythm...

He only used the dirty channel of the amp. No solo boosts. Just a wah pedal. He worked the volume knob a lot during the show. Old school. His tone was glorious.
