Last Soldano SLO rack mount ever to be built

I was counting this one since I had paid for it.

I actually passed on a fourth SLOr. I wanted at least 2 for a rack I was putting together, but the amp switcher I was hoping for isn't gonna happen. So, now it will be the Fish, this amp, and a second SLO. Stereo rig, using both amps in tandem. The Wizard will replace the 2nd SLO most likely. If I don't like the Fish in this setup, then I will add the 2nd SLO amp back in and either a Suhr PT100 or a Dar rack amp. Total of 4 amps and a Bradshaw switcher. This would most likely be a W/D/W rig.

Just waiting on gear for the final decisions. Fish this week I think, and then the Wizard within the next few months. Not sure about the PT100 time frame, and I am meeting with Dar amps this Sat. But this SLO is the center of the rack, and the inspiration for me to get it all together.

Thats cool Dave. I'am not jealous at all, maybe I purchase a Modena Rackmount in the
near future. Thats basically the same, but with some improvements on the Cleansound

... and smoother (less raw) Overdrive sound

I really need to get a second job, go back to school and get a more specialized degree, find a rich uncle in ailing health, or something along those lines. I live where it's cheap to live, drive old cars, don't waste money on stupid things, and I still struggle to buy used cheap gear.

Ok, what is the silver Rack Wah underneath the X99?

This unit was made by a friend in germany. He usually don't build it for others than himself.
His "projects" are open source, everything is on his homepage (schematics etc)

I made sondfiles of his preamps in the past so he gave one of his "leftovers"

It sounds not as good as a Cry Baby, but the advantage is: Only one MIDI cable
to my FC 200 (incl. Phantompower) - I really appreciate this.

Business with a minor in Communications. Sure I chased women and beer in college but I did end up with a nice GPA. I also made the mistake of getting married and divorced to a woman with, at best, poor financial skills. Ah, the lessons of youth.

I was think the other day about a rack piece with all of his preamps in it.....and a rack power amp with a MEATHEAD and NATAS power amp in it.

It looks red / orange here.
