I’m intrigued by these and was wondering who has one and what they think? I‘m not interested in the light version

I had one that I let go off last summer. I generally thought it was great but preferred and even weirder Les Paul.

The upper fret access is great. I generally avoid LPs because I hate the upper fret access challenge (I need all the help I can get), so that’s a game changer. The electronics are usable and cool, but I’d likely never go through the effort to replicate it in another guitar. Otherwise, it didn’t seem that different from other recent standards I’ve played.

I ultimately sold it because I also picked up a Les Paul HP, which has similar upper fret access, a 1 3/4 nut I like, and also a satin finish I vastly prefer. It doesn’t look or even feel quite as nice as the modern, but it’s quite comfy and was way cheaper.

Dig the color layout on that one, what’s different about the Modern?

They’re great guitars. Play and sound great too. I was fond of the compound radius played really fast and nice low action. I wouldn’t hesitate to get another.
