Universe burst (purple fading off into a white star burst). Many say it's better than the Oceanburst, which few like.
Legator did something along those lines.

Personal fan of dragonburst, myself.

That said, probably not looking to get into $1k+ paint jobs and I would be surprised if many were interested in a burst when the time comes 🤷‍♀️

No shredzilla? I mean if we are going super strat
BC Rich? I had one of those MS 8 strings a few years ago. The neck might has well of been a tree. Options are set now anyways, too late to add any more. Soloist/Dinky will have to do for someone looking to go a little more pointed.

Nothing beats natural anyways 😁

By the way, who will be building it? I think I missed the part where it was mentioned.

But those burst might get cool. I’d be curious to see purple variant of this color scheme:

Going out on a limb and guessing that the final design will look nothing at all like that, but I've been wrong before.

This blue one was just an example to explain the color scheme I am curious about.

The thing is it would be very hard to get a proper voting on different types of bursts and other complex paintjobs. So yeah, will have to limit the selection and throw some visual examples.

Natural nitro is unbeatable though. Transparent stains come second. Solid colors are the least interesting to me.

The builder part remains a secret, I suppose?

Gimme that so-cal body with the mahogany. A thick quilt maple cap would be cool
Quilt with a pickguard? I should have sent you this old tele I used to have. That thing was solid quilt before it became so expensive/rare. Literally like a 2" thick one piece body of 500xA quilt. :ROFLMAO: Was also a boat anchor.

I don't see walnut as an option. It's one of my favorite woods to work with (insert pervert joke here  ) Acoustically it's like a blend of maple and mahogany.

It had crossed my mind, but was priced more than Koa that I had come across. Honestly didn't feel too many would be interested.
I'm actually surprised how many people are picking mahogany for a superstrat body. I'm not against it, myself. I have a chambered strat plank (ala tele) body that has been sitting around for years. Not going to be using it for this or anything as it's hollowbody thick and zero access to upper frets unless you're 10 feet tall. Might as well be an acoustic body, tbh.

I only remember you telling that you gonna comission build or parts and paint might be done by your son.

Never specified the builder/brand in that post so I got curious. Have I missed something?

Will be using US/German/Japanese parts only which will all depend on the final build that the community selects. Since this is a bolt on I'm not going to pay someone else $1k to assemble it. Who the body and neck are sourced from depends on the final results, but will be USA. Likely I will go to Warmoth in person. If I do a second build like a V or Explorer than I will be using one of two luthiers I know from guitar shows. Which one depends on time and cost, but rest assured they are the best of the best.

Great! 🔥

Polling ends in a few hours.
That's kind of a weird turn of events...
