Letting go of my 5150III Stealth100w Head... Want to try something new and different. Options?

The V3 is a cool amp. With 6L6 it really comes alive. EL34s sound flubby and weird in the low mid. It's kind of got a rectoish feel to it I guess but in it's own way.

I also never really considered an Uber or Knucklehead II/K-Tre... Need to investigate those some more.
 
I don't play this genre but checking the amps you've owned I'd suggest:
Boogie Mk3
Bogner Uber
Gower KK++ or Sylosis
Modded Rectifier (FYI Dan Gower will do you one like he did for me and Peter Miles of Middle Farm studio, latter featured in pro records)

You have/had a JVM; nothing wrong with those but I'd step up to a good vintage JMP 2203/4 or 70s NMV....straight in or boosted. It's a staple for a reason.

I’d recommend a Bogner uberschall rev green. I’d also recommend a mark III++ coliseum but they aren’t quite as common and no I’m not selling mine lol.

I obviously like High Gain. I play a lot of Drop A# 7 String stuff so I like something with a lot of distortion and saturation typically but also like extremely articulate and clear amps too. I want something that sounds different than my current 6505 and Recto, but that will still do the 7 string chugs well.

Whatever amp I get, will be sitting on a Standard Recto 4x12 with V30s though I may drop a pair of Creambacks I have in my closet in soon also in an X but that's TBD based on how whatever amp I get, sounds on the cab.

I do have a couple amps currently on my list... (below) but am open to other ideas. I'm really not as tuned into the amp market as I use to be.
- Revv Generator 100R
- Fryette Deliverance 120 II+
- Diezel Herbert MKIII

The only amps I know that I just do not enjoy are amps like the Engl Invader, Splawn or anything Orange.

I was going to suggest a Mesa Mark as well. Very unique amps. A bit challenging to dial in at first, but I love the sound. Fortunately, there are threads aplenty with suggested settings. Currently own a Quad and a Mark IV. Within about 15 minutes of turning on the Mark IV for the first time and trying out the lead channel I was like "Okay. I'm never letting this go." The gain on the Mark IV just has such a nice texture to it and I find the amp excels at both metal rhythms and liquid leads.

I own a Gower KK++ and agree as well. It has so many ways it can be dialed in!
