Line6 insane mode :D

Many, many years ago I had this Line 6 amp - the HD147. I think it glowed purple when it was turned on, lol. I recall using the insane mode with the midrange turned up quite a bit. It was not terrible, although I wonder what I'd think of it now.

The HD147 is tempting because they only go for like $350 or so on the used market now. They had a bigger power section than the Vetta, or something, but fewer models. Supposedly they were quite capable…

For those types of prices they are legit, but shit man you can get an egnater or jet city that could probably do better for that cheap as well

I got a Flextone HD when they first came out. It was perfect for the band situation that I was in. Played it for a looong time - until it blew up.
Went and got my SLO 3 days later.

Unfortunately no, It doesn't work with a 9v battery, only with an adapter and I have clean signal passing to my amp with the pedal but it's dead as soon as I engage it, so back to GC it goes.

I ran a pod bbe and mesa 20/20 with two cabs and it was great. I used the twin setting for cleans and treadplate for the grrr chugga chuggas….

I've owned a few of these, and two of them were DOA.

Had the Uber Metal for a while...like others said, pretty fun at home, but never used it live. I already tried that in my late teens with a Metalzone and a Peavey Bandit. :ROFLMAO:

Likewise I had good fun with a Zoom Driver 5000. One of the settings...I forgot Stack 2 or combo 112, was ultra ripping, ultra high gain.
