Pretty much what the title says. I’ve just learned about pushing an amp using a parametric eq instead of using pedals like I’ve done most of my life. I’m looking for the 80s hair metal/dimebag sort of tone. I just scored a randall rg50 112 for a decent price. Looking for something that won’t break the bank but will get the job done in shaping tone and pushing the amp. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No experience with it. I had a original about 30 years ago.

It was thirty years ago. I got rid of it back then. Your rig is completely different than what I was using. I had it a few months and sold it to a friend.

Yeah that makes sense. That is a very long time ago and obviously different gear circumstances. Was just wondering if it was something you remembered liking. The unit itself. Not the combo I’m planning on using.

There’s a Loft parametric EQ in the classifieds right now, hard driver is selling it, I have two of them. Better than a Furman, less noise.

I’ll have to take a look. Thank you for the heads up! I don’t think I can post or contact there yet but not sure how the rules work here.

Loft 4 band, I think you can buy ? Just not post for sale.

Respond in the thread. Tell him you want it, he can contact you.

I think it takes 50 posts before I can pm, reply or post in the classifieds. Should be there soon enough but it may get snagged before then. If so it wasn’t meant to be. You could drop him a line and let him know I’m interested but that would be up to you.

I already sent him a PM just now. Good luck.
Awesome. Very appreciated! I just found this place recently and have been scanning through reading tons of stuff. Finally decided to sign up today. Huge wealth of info and entertainment here. Love it so far.

The empress paraEQ is the best parametric I’ve ever used for a guitar amp. Not made anymore and going up in price, but it is phenomenal.

I’ve seen that one. I’ll have to look further into it if this loft doesn’t work out. Thank you for the info!
