Hi Folks,

I recently picked up a Line 6 M13, but I've been waiting to post untill I had some clips... but here goes without.

The M13 is a great match with my MOD50, but it took me a while to get it to work. Long story short, this unit allows you to select effects for in front of the amp, or in the loop (use the series loop only). To use this feature, you MUST select "DSP bypass" on the M13 (instead of tru bypass mode). It works fine in the loop only in true bypass mode, but not in the 4 cable method.

It sounds great to me - the DSP's are pretty good and I can deal with it in the DSP bypass mode. It's super-intuitive to use - and I had a blast auditioning the same effect/same setting pre and post to see where I liked what.

... for the record, the phaser, U-vibe, and OD's of course sound better in front - and I like the choruses and flanger in the loop (with delays and verbs of course). Octavia and octaver in front, weird filter sounds in the loop.

I also had the line 6 Mod pedal, but it didn't work in the (line level) series loop. The M13 works fine - but there's no line level switch or mention of level in the manual (?).

Anyhow, much fun for $450! I recommend it.

That's great to hear, since I was worried about putting it in a loop since it was just made for instrument level signal (I don't get why companies do that for products intended to be used with the 4 cable method..). I've heard others use it with with their amps and say that it works fine as well so I think i may pick one up. Around where do you run your preamp masters?

Hi guys,

Hope you give the AXE-FX a try. I use it on stage direct into the PA and back through a monitor. I have used tude amps for the last 40+ years and I don't feel I've lost anything with it ... well except for about 100lbs.

Jim :)

Well I ordered a Damage Control Glass Nexus last night. http://www.damagecontrolusa.com/pedals_ind.php?pedal=5 MF was having another HUSH weekend sale so I thought I would try it out. The unit has gotten great reviews so I'll see how well it works with my Rebel. I thought I would need a rack unit but this little guy covers all the effects I would ever need. I'll post a review after spending some time with it in case anyone else is interested in one. Thanks richedie for throwing this one in the mix. I hope it's a keeper!

Yea, I'll come back to this one too and we can all post a cluster review. I bought a Glass Nexus last night on eBay. $275.

I couldn't decide, I really wanted a Timeline and I may still get one of those too. WAY COOL delay only unit.

I am looking at them now. I have seen a lot about the Rebel, but haven't really ventured too much in Egnator. I have a Carr Rambler and a pedalboard that I use if I don't use the AXE-FX.

Thanks for turning me onto this. Now I have something new (to me) to research :worship:

That's a great deal. The Timeline does seem to be very good as well. It's a little overkill for me but the Nexus should be a great fit. All the Damage Control products seem rock solid. Can't wait to try it with the Rebel :D

It's cool. I was just puzzled 'cuase your on the Egnater section of the forumn. Spend some time looking at the threads. The modules are incredible. Check out the Eganater web page for some humorous descriptions of teh modules too. I have to remember that folks are being exposed to Egnater for the first time in a "non-modular" realm of the Tourmaster series.

It's a good thing, I'm just not used to that.

Sorry for the delayed reply Diego. After much experimenting (and some guidance from this forum), I've found anywhere between 12:00 and 2:00 works fine. I tried the suggestion of setting the amp master at 2:00 and then adjusting the module masters for volume... that worked well too, but I found it a hassle to balance all 4 channels whenever I made overall volume adjustments... Mark

Thanks mark, I went ahead and ordered an m13. I usually run my masters between 12 and 2, and was just wondering if the m13 could handle those levels. I also adjust the masters of each channel to get an equal volume and then control the overall volume with the master volume knob on the right. It's just easier for me and it still sounds amazing.
