First and foremost, I need it to be true bypass since I will not have it on a lot. I looked at the 535Q tonight and noticed that it doesnt have true bypass...

I was thinking about the Teese or Fulltone wahs. I just dont know what to get. I use humbuckers and prefer high gain. What should I look at getting...???

I believe the 535Q IS true bypass.

Really? There is no mention of it anywhere...

I could have sworn it's true bypass. That's the reason I chose it over the other Dunlops.
It says it's got a "Hardwired on/off switch" I assume that means true-bypass... Or perhaps it's just a clever way of tricking me! Damn that Jim Dunlop! Either way, it's a damn good wah IMO.

yep, it is. I've got a bad horsie II. true bypass and quiet, but I dont care to much for the voicing of it.

The Bad Horsie is not true bypass. It's buffered but not TB

I haven't found a wah that doesn't suck.

forget it.

they all suck.

I've tried 3 times.

My ingenius teacher (who plays like bratta and petrucci) said "wah's cluter one's tone")

It's hopeless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of the ones you mention I'm sure at least the Teese is *real* true bypass. Not sure about the others although I think the Dunlop isn't. I've bought the rackwah (which is a fancy 535Q as far as I understand it) and that isn't TB...

Giga.

Dunlop Crybaby From Hell DB-01 all the way!!!

I tried a whole bunch of wah's and the CFH can be tweaked for most any wah sound i could ever need! Does Schenker cracked wah tones all the way to huge wide sweep wah tones like Doug Aldrich's and more subtle wah sounds with a narrower sweep too! Its like a 535Q but better all round, and way more tweakable.

And.. i got it for $99 at GC as it was a returned item, that hadn't even been used :D

Dunlop DCR-2SR might do the job. :)

Hey Jaakko i really wanted the DCR-1SR, but couldnt afford it at the time.. the DB-01 was the only one i found that could get similar tones!!

Wassup, Dan? The only amp/FX units I really have GAS for are DCR-2SR and Eclipse or G-Force. We'll see when I'm on spending mood next time. :D

Man i would love to get a rack wah AND an Eclipse, but i just dont see it happening in the next year or so... unless i win the Lotto :D

I gotta spend all my cash on the Cameron CCV-100, but it'l be worthit

The Fulltone Clyde is great. I've tried the Teese RMC, Wizard modded crybaby, and Budda Budwah both me and my other guitarist thought the Fulltone sounded the best. The Fulltone does add a little gain when engaged. I got the Clyde when it first came out, they've changed it since so I can't speak for the newer ones. That new Ernie Ball might be cool too?

Dave, I second the gentleman above.

The RMC Teese wahs are supposed to be the best. I've had his picture wah, it was great. The wizard sounds like it is up your alley.

now i am even more confused...

What about the Fulltone Deluxe wah?

Did you actually try the 535Q? If you want to try one, I got it.

RMC Wizard? I haven't tried it myself but I believe they are advertised as the "humbucker/highgain wah". Since RMC's kick ass in general, I don't think you can go wrong with it either.

Get a standard GCB-95 and mod it. I have the following done to mine:

True Bypass w/ LED
Bass Knob
Mid Knob
Q Knob
Volume Knob
Fasel Inductor switch to select between a Halo fasel, Red fasel, use them both in parallel, or use them both in series.

Some other slight voicing and higher quality parts were used, too. You'll be hard pressed to find a better, more versatile wah that isn't a rack wah.
