I have a Marshallhead in the bridge position in my lemonburst LP and a Vineham Whiskey Burner in the neck. I have Marshallheads in my EVH Wolf. Special too. Love them.

The Wolfetone Marshallheads were my favorite paf style pickups for a while and for the price they’re hard to beat, but if you’re willing to splurge a bit I think that Tone Specific’s are on another level. The Virgil Arlo’s were great too, but I like Tone Speicifc a bit more. If not, then I’d agree about either going with Wolfetone Marshallheads or Wagner Darkburst

I personally found the Bareknuckle’s and Suhr’s (including the Thornbucker and Aldrich) to sound sterile and uninspiring compared to most other boutique level pickups. The other ones mentioned here, I admittedly don’t think I’ve tried yet. Other paf style pickups I’ve had in the past were Motor City’s, Arcane’s, WB, Ian Anderson, Klein’s, Haussel’s, other Wolfetone’s and probably others I’m blanking out on. They all sounded good, but the Tone Specific’s are my favorites followed by Virgil Arlo and then either Wolfetone or Wagner

I feel the same way about Thornbuckers, they’re just kinda blah.

I basically felt that way about every Suhr product I’ve tried
