i remember wearing out this cassette when i was a kid. what an underrated song with an epic solo. watching the video now 30+ later is kind of trippy, its like literally everything going on today with the VR, facial editing shit to your liking, zoom calls with the band playing, like wtf lol

Yeah, that's called predictive programming.

Maybe I’m old and jaded but I HATED the whole Desmond Child era compared to their past material, which was way more hard rockin and brilliant IMO.

i definitely like the older stuff too, but i do think "Amazing" is.. amazing :ROFLMAO: that build up into the solo gets me every time. Really thinking about it now, i think this might have been the last proper long hair dude shredding a Les Paul and marshall in a epic solo ever that made it to these levels of huge at least.

its like scarily accurate, i dont remember anyone even having the internet yet at that time, were pentium processors even a thing yet?? shit was 386 still or whtaver lol

edit: the pentium came out literally two weeks before the album :ROFLMAO:

The Pentium (also referred to as the i586) is a x86 microprocessor introduced by Intel on March 22, 1993.

I just gotta ask, how the hell do you fracture your larynx? That sounds absolutely brutal.

I guess that is one thibg about the rock and roll stuff, it can be rough on the throat. Klaus Meine, J. Bon Jovi, Tom Keifer, etc. all dealt with that. But then I go see the Metal God a few years ago and he's hitting those screams, same thing with Glenn Hughes.

I think it is better that Aerosmith just call it a day at this point.

No doubt but how do you fracture your larynx? By singing like Steven Tyler? Dream on dream on dream crunch....I've def had some mornings where speaking wasn't possible for 30 minutes but I never thought, boy, I think I fractured my larynx last night. Seems nightmarish.

Apparently he had blood from his vocal cords so must be a tear ?

Saw Aerosmith live a few times;, back in the day, before their first breakup; the first time at the Palace Theatre in Waterbury, CT, Draw the Line tour.

They had a great run, and know when to retire unlike many other bands that don't.
I’ve seen them twice, once on the Done With Mirrors Tour at the Manning Bowl in Lynn Ma probably 84 or 85, and again with Guns and Roses opening around 87 or 88. Guns blew them off the stage. They were so hungry.

crazy, cryin' amazing.....that was formulaic so so.

I liked What It Takes. I used to argue with a guy who said Dream On was the masterpiece and even though he might've been right I didn't like the Tyler shrieking at the end.. I don't thin What It Takes had the Desmond Child touch of the crazy crying amazing era which I could live without. Those are almost the same song three times, lol.

Nothing wrong with bowing out on top and enjoying the fruits of their decades of labors. They earned it. Great band and I always enjoyed Joe Perry's tone and playing.

What It Takes also gets bonus points because the singer says "GUITAR" right before the solo

This trend needs to return 😭

I'm kinda bummed. We had ticket for the Dallas show in November.

Planned on being at the final show of the tour in Bufalo.
Sure glad I'd seen them in the past...

Love some old school Aerosmith, but I have to admit their pop stuff is really freaking good.

Not surprised they are hanging it up, but it’s still kind of sad.

Go out with class, that's how it's done. Highly preferred the very early stuff but Tyler had one of of the best voices of our time.

For sure!

I hear there is a new replacement cover band though:
