Looks like Marshall amps are getting ready to be available again in the US

Almost all wild Koala’s have Chlamydia.

@Monkey Man would know that better than I
IIRC it turned out that many years later she was exonerated as it became obvious it was a dingo.

Those dogs can get out-of-hand and attack people quite-often. An infant is a low-hanging-fruit meal to them.

Um, what a broad generalization that I drive a Prius. Just because I like the finer things in life; mahogany and teak furniture, vintage wine from crystal stemware, and only the most select PRS guitars, doesn't mean that I drive a Prius. I actually have a BMW hybrid, thank you very much.
But the man with everything also has isotoner gloves and a Cartier timepiece under his tree at Christmas. You didn't mention that stuff. Not very smugg if you ask me. I'm getting McMansion vibes.

I think this might be why TGP deleted it LOL

But you can see the prices on places like SW. Nothing has gone up. I didn't think there were tariffs on the Brits?

Was it:

a) because it was getting politically nasty or
b) because they assumed it would get politically nasty

either way, what a joke

Man, that was our O.J. back in the day. Epic stuff.

There had only been about 6 responses when I last saw it but one guy asked about the tariffs.. that might have started something. It was gone in an hour after I posted it so I don't really know what happened. I asked a couple of guys I know who had posted in it if they knew and they didn't either.

Does anyone know how country of origin is determined for something like a Marshall? If it's actually assembled in Vietnam, but the company is based in the UK, which is it?

I just watched a YouTube video on this regarding Ford trucks. It's complicated because a Ford F150 built in the USA actually has parts from all over including China, Korea, Canada, Mexico, etc.. So, all those parts are subject to tariffs. So, even though you're buying a "made in USA" Ford F150, you're going to be paying more for that truck due to tariffs on the parts imported, and used to build that truck.

I don't know how they could figure it all out. I just bought a BMW three weeks ago, so I'm good for a while. And I can't think of any routine purchases I make of stuff made abroad. I have enough Marshalls, guns, guitars, etc. For liquor I buy Maker's Mark and Kirkland vodka at Costco. I guess I'll feel it eventually, but all the stuff in my house is already paid for.

I can see now why TGP deleted the thread.. I had no idea it would venture into tariffs when the prices haven't yet gone up and you can buy them for this price now.

I got a week time out on TGP once for responding to someone who claimed I had voted for import duties and writing a lower value on the customs declaration was hypocritical.

It’ll get weird for sure because with vehicles and larger industrial manufacture, parts are crossing the border more than once.
