Lynch on a Quick Rod

Shreder is a fanboi, and yes it can get annoying to some, but so what , he knows what he likes and sticks to it. ejecta and Shiny Surface, you guys are being total dicks.... Fuckin grade school shitstorm, grow up!

My objective 2 cents.

Lynch's playing? yeah he was not in slick form. he plays like a cat that is tossed in the air but seems to land on his feet most of the time. I mean that in the best way. I love George's style and despite not being very polished or rehearsed, he always hits some good n greasy notes that make me go schaaaawing

you've been doing this for three years...was mostly on HCAF actually....

I havent been on HCAF in the last two years. What else ya got?

Dude, arguing with you is like arguing with a petulant 5 year old..which is sad because, if memory serves, you're in your 40s? I'd have thought you'd have grown out of the playground bully mentality by now. You're very consistent though, I'll give you that.

It started on HCAF, carried over on to here. Blah blah blah, you know the history as well as I do. Do I have to start spelling out the big words for you?

I mentioned the negativity of the thread, Ralph....I didn't once say it was an attack on Scott...the only time I'd mentioned splawn at that point was that it was good press for lynch to be seen playing a whole clinic with one...

go on..tell me I'm lying..it's all here in black and white

Yes it is in there in black and white matt but as soon as you made the Axe-fx comment it went from being taken as "thread negativity" to you Implying something else about the amp used. Sorry but Im not the only one who took it that way. Had you said "Im not surprised by the negativity in this thread... it could have been taken the way you are trying to spin it now.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

all the best

~R~

You're right Ralph....I've got some nerve. Someone stated that it's my 'job' to pimp splawn stuff regardless of whether the playing in the clip is good or not or if the sound quality from the camcorder is good enough, almost implying that I have some ulterior motive for posting this clip. Caught me red handed! LOL..had nothing at all to do with one of my favortie guitar players and probably biggest influence playing an amp that I happen to own and actually digging it.

That's how I took THAT post, since you mentioned how things were said and interpreted. Jams said it wasn't lynch's best day. I didn't jump down his throat like a zealot in need of mental help did I? Nope =) Wasn't until, even though it may have been in jest, someone made a personal comment about my intentions that I got bent.

If that crap didn't start, we'd have a whole different thread here, my friend.

So yes, we'll agree to disagree.

I am a fan of Lynch's playing and check out every vid that gets posted, some I dig and some I do not. Look up Lynch threads and I am sure I have posted something in most of them.

Playing a Splawn has nothing to do with what I said and for reference here is imo Lynch when he was on fire,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaurfZtGJ-Y

Lynch in your vid is a shell of what he can do when he feels like it that day.

Again, nothing stated about tone but just commenting on Lynch just so I dont get grouped into the axe-fx stuff. I do comment on axe-fx clips as well John's today freaking ripped and Ed D. I consider a friend and always take the time to say something.

wasn't directed specifically at you

Its all good, I know I rode you before in the past but I am over that stuff as it was not the right thing to do. During the a vs b shit I stay out now and just enjoy playing and talking gear.

glad to hear it, dude..not everyone seems to have the same mindset as you, but shit happens, right? lol

 Digital Jams, you my friend are as centered as the double lines in the road.  Playing and talking gear! That's where it's at. That's where it should be!

Last I heard George wrote Mr Scary...right? He can play it anyway he wants too, it is HIS song afterall isnt it??

This was all just to show some love for Scott by GL using a Quickrod. It's George freakin' Lynch man!! C'mon guys, tell me honestly that if GL was seen in a vid using a Cameron or an AxeFX you guys would be all over it  ...even if he did play like crap.

It's just a cool story...and yes, shreder is the biggest fanboi - but that's ok ;)

I would have stated the same thing bro if the amp was a mesa, axe-fx, jvm.....whatever. I understand that guys have bad nights but Lynch seems to have many more than others.

Case in point here is Gilbert doing Scarified 20 years after first doing it,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EA9k-zh ... re=related

I will admit the past 3-4 years I have become a tad jilted with Lynch as both times I have met him he was not very interested in speaking to me. Gilbert on the other hand sat down with me in the EB booth with guitars to help out with a progression that he has on one of his instructional tapes. Of course not even the king of alt pickinhg could help me

I also own Lynch's new band's cd so yes I also listen to the evolved Lynch

Cool vid! I always liked Bouillet. What kind of Les Paul knock off is he playing. Looks cool!

I was wrong, and admitted it in the thread. :)

I will say though, when anyone takes an extreme unwavering position on something they tend to draw out and attract the exact opposite to counterbalance them. You can see this on display (usually in a much more subtle form than this thread lol) on internet forums all the time. It's the law of nature imo.

I was in a feisty mood and bored at work, which isn't always a good combination when browsing forums...

i finally watched that vid... i wish i could play as "bad" as george in that clip....

tough crowd :D

Ibanez lawsuit 70s LP which I hear are quite good.

I saw Paul and Bruce at the Viper Room during NAMM and it was awesome and was really cool to see a Racer X type show on the strip where it started!

this negativity doesn't surprise me in the least quite honestly =)

If it was an axe-fx video the floor would be as sticky as a movie theater's from all the loads being shot upon it....

Lynch has a huge fan base. Him taking notice and digging Scott's stuff is a plus for Scott.

Hey watch who you accuse of creaming over an axe fx buddy. :gethim:
I've yet to blow a load over one. :poke:

Does it at least bring tears to your eyes?

  Yep your memory would be wrong because I have a bit to go before I even reach close to 40 so there you go. Anywhooo.....you know I shouldnt have made the "panties in wad" comment. That made this shit worse and I just perpetuated it from there with more smart ass comments. For that... I admit I was wrong. I had been up two nights straight with my little girl who was sick and running fevers. I was at work bored, tired and grumpy. Not an excuse just the truth. I got a lot of sleep last night so I feel much better today so now I see how I acted. Not good.

That said, at times you do take this stuff way too seriously and can be hyper sensitive about someone's posts that are in any way negative about things pertaining to Splawn. I dont really understand that but I dont need to. Anyway, at best I could have left this alone or not said it such a smart ass way. But like I said the better thing though would have been to leave it alone. Thats what Im going to do is leave this thread and in the future I will leave you threads alone.

Cool. I would love to have seen that show. I am a huge fan of Bruce's band The Scream back in the day. One of my favorite releases within that genre of music. Was about 2 to 3 years too late otherwise I think they could have been pretty big. I had a friend that worked at Hollywood Records and he gave me an actual CD copy of their second release Taking It To The Next Level. A little different in direction but still very cool.
