Has any of you ever played or heard this pedal? This is the Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake) OD and it sounds great on the MP3 demos on their site (http://www.majikboxusa.com/RocketFuel.htm). On Harmony Central, everyone gives it a 10 on all aspects in the user reviews section. Just curious if anyone of you own it or have played with it.

I havent played one, but there are some guys on here that love it, do a search for the thread, you'll find it. I'm sure they will chime in - Jim

Hehe...this is my favorite stomp box of all time. I've got a bunch of pedals, BB preamp, sd1, od8, 0d9, couple of Keeley modded pedals etc...NONE are even in the ball park. Plus, the guy that makes these pedals is great to work with. The price is high, but you're getting two pedals in one...very cool. This pedal works best with an amp that already has a decent crunch or lead channel...the pedal will give your amp a kick in the butt to bring out what it already does. I highly recommend!

Yup, it's favorite stompbox of all time too. I love the 3-position bass switch! It doesn't just add bass, it also adjusts the bass response, i.e. a bit tighter, a bit looser etc. The tone controls on the OD side are subtle but they add tasteful amounts of high-end... never harsh. This one ends my OD search.

Favorites In this order: Rocketfuel, Cusack screamer, BB, Maven Peal Howling Wolf. I mix and match these to suit the mood.

So, if I understand correctly, you guys run your amp dirty and kick it in with the Rocket Fuel. Right now, I'm using a bunch of different OD/Distortions on the clean channel. I have a Flex-Drive from Rockett Pedals, a Pinnacle 2 from Wampler and the Eternity from Lovepedals. All nice, but just like you I suffer from GAS and am always looking for better tone. I run these through a Marshall TSL. You guys think I should add one to the collection?

Thought I would add a pick of my pedalboard for shit and giggles!!

Yeah, I run mine on the XTC un-boosted red channel...sounds killer! Using some switching gear, I can run the red channel with and without the XTC boost. That's pretty cool because I get the red with XTC boost and I can also get the red without XTC boost and then smack it with the Rocket Fuel. This gives me two distinctly different thick lead tones.

You should note, the Rocket Fuel doesn't have a ton of gain. It is designed to boost/OD an already dirty channel...works great. If you want more gain I'm pretty sure the designer will mod it for you. I find mine to be perfect as is.

I'm gonna have to try one of those. You guys are not helping me at all  :D

And this is what I run these pedals through. Maybe I should buy both the Body Blow and the Rocket Fuel... ANy thoughts on that?

I dial the gain on the amp back a bit and then I kick it in the balls with the rocket-fuel  Some amps are better at taking boosts/ODs than others. I'm honestly not sure about the TSL... if it takes your other boosts OK then the rocket-fuel will work fine with it, but better.

It should also kick your other pedals up a good notch if you are running into a clean amp. I just goosed an OCD with the rocket-fuel into my clean channel and it was freaking great!

If it was me, I would start with the rocket-fuel and take it from there.

Anyone else have anything to share about this pedal? Please help me..... I don't want to fork out close to $300 without making a wise decision.

Where are you guys getting these? I contacted them, and they dont take credit cards only Paypal, I dont have a paypal account :aww:

Really??!! I didn't realize that... Good thing I have a Paypal account, but I thought for sure they would accept credit cards...

You don't need an account.
You can use your credit card through paypal without creating an account.
Follow the purchase links and you'll see what I mean.

 Dave Simpson is the owner, creator and builder for the rocket fuel pedals. I have nothing but good things to say when it comes to his products, service, and consideration for his customers. I agree with what was posted about the three way bass boost switch control. It gives you the three choices, and they change up the feel depending on what amp you are running this into. This pedal is designed to be the straw that breaks the camel's back. ;)

You'll need to let me know how it turns out when you get it.... what's the wait time?
