I preferred the 1983 on the Van Halen clip, but otherwise I liked the rest about the same. Not that the rest sounded identical, but both amps had bits that caught my ear. Thanks for taking the time to do this!

Great video. The RI hangs pretty well with the OG. I preferred the OG in most cases but having had a IIC+ and swapping some tubes, the 415s and Tungsrams def make a difference.

It would be awesome to hear a RI and JP shootout. You think the JP can hang with the RI?

I'd really like to hear a comparison with the JP2C and IIC+ reissue as well. Both with the same tubes

They should do a serial loop Rev G/F with the Pre 500 C mod

FWIW, and sample set of 1, but the Rev C mod is one of the mods I've regretted doing. My last Triple G was an absolute crusher stock, had the C mod done, and it killed the amp for me. It took away the G balls and killed the clean channel, and was definitely not like my actual Rev C which was one of the best Mesas I've ever played.

I think I've regretted as many mods as I've appreciated.
