Splawn QR = 2203 modded
Friedman = Plexi modded

I wonder what a Friedman modded 2203 would sound like!?
I have one and it sounds incredible. :yes:
I also just put in my order today for some new Splawn gear.
Instead of wasting any of my time trying to sort out :confused:
one brand versus the other, I just accept the obvious and that is,
Each amp has it's own thing and there is NO COMPETION.. :no:
just choices...... ;)
I choose both. :rock:

Something else to consider:

Splawn amp: Has his own designed PCB's, trannies, headshells, chassis, top notch components.

Friedman amp: Metro headshell, chassis, turret boards. Parts sourced from all over the place to get "the" tone, top notch components.

There are pluses and minuses to either method, but Friedman's is definitely more time consuming, therefore, more cost.

I have built many amps for myself and others and can't touch the quality of build and tone for the price of a Splawn. I really don't know how he does it, but am glad he does... I prefer the tone of a tweaked 2203, so the Splawn is more appealling to me. The Friedman is also an awesome amp, but I can't justify paying double what a Splawn costs for it... Others can and that is what makes the world go around.... :)
