You should already be in your way. It’s a tube amp they aren’t complicated even if it doesn’t work.

I agree. At worst you get a platform for a ground up rebuild.
Lots of great modders around this forum.

From texting with seller…claiming to be a female…had no idea about what it was or if /how it worked.

But yea….Durham is tough man.

That was likely a divorce grab and she sold it for nothing out of spite.
Years ago when my wife and I were too broke for good furniture, we found a leather rocker chair with an ottman for $36 on Craigslist. Went over to the lady's house and bought it, and it turned out to be a very nice chair. Seemed odd that the chair was sold for so cheap, as the house was a pretty decent size. After we got home, looked up the brand and model, and found that they sell for about $1600 brand new. Immediately joked with my wife that I bet it was a divorce sale and that was his favorite chair lol

My sister got a free piano from a church who just wanted it outta there. She didn't get to check it out, the lady just said the church would handle the delivery and wanted it outta there. My sister waited at home for the delivery and it turned out to be a Steinway. It's an upright and needed some TLC, but she was happy to make a nice donation to that church.

Normally these are scams that want nothing more than to get your email address so they can start spamming the crap out of you. These crooks have gotten smart to know what gear that most guys will jump at even if it is working or not. Older JCM800s seem to be the bait that they use to get individuals to reply and once they have your email prepared to get spammed to death.
