Fair to say LOUD.

KT-66's.

Prolly more twangy & clean than you're used to.

Its basically a JTM-45/100 [100 watts]

Well made.

Comes with the oversized bottom cab.

whats the scoop on these? Anyone here ever play thru one??

Why don't you just call Marshall and order one?

The video does actually show the amp the dudes playing as a JMP in the close up. Regardless sounds bad ass. Makes me regret selling my 70s something JMP 2203

I know, Chester couldn't help himself. He thinks I didn't do my research before he grabbed the first link off of YouTube and quickly got involved?
IDK why you're nit-picking about the letters "JMP" that stands for "Jim Marshall Products" which came after this amp which was created in 1966'.

Ive given you the stats and they're correct. I would go play it and stop wasting peoples time and complaining to those trying to be helpful.

Personally for the drop & other styles of tunes you play its not really your cup or tea.

I owned the 1/2 stack a few years back myself. One of the best clean tones I've ever heard, and it took pedals like a champ. Sounded awesome with my Plexitone boosting it.

Its the most unforgiving amp i've ever played. Any flub, plink or clink will just as loud as a fretted note. Unless your at band volume at a minimum, she will NOT put out. Here is a good representation of what it can sound like. It also can be farty real quick. Its snappy and spanky to the utmost extreme. Its one of those amps that you know are great but secretly pray shes already wet when she opens her legs, else your going to have to go to work....big time.

Touche! Just an observation I made watching the video though to be honest; wasn't really meant to be a dig :)

The first video @ 00.36 seconds that show "JMP" has been edited and is NOT the amp that guys playing in that clip.
If you go to 00.53 seconds the same far left part of the panel show "MK" & "II" under it.

The JMP logo has nothing under it.

U can ask Marshall or that dewd why they edited it.

Good catch

If you're talking about the KT-66 Hendrix head, it has some mods they included, which is basically a Bright Cap to get some more treble. Head has glorious clean tone and needs pedals.

If it a 1959HW, then it's brighter, needs pedals.

Blackmore played 200 watters w/ a Treble Booster, so that clip is pointless.

The least they could've done is ship the amps with 5881's like Jimi preferred; even the Sov-Tek 5881's would get you closer to his tone than KT66's.
66's will be more brash in the high end when the amp breaks up. This amp stock would actually be closer to what Jimmy Page uses/used for his Marshall with the KT66's, where Jimmy (not Jimi) used KT88's in his Marshalls. Both of their set ups were meant to be loud and brash to some extent, but Jimmy (not Jimi) preferred his power section to be cleaner and cutting, like a Hiwatt. Jimi (not Jimmy) wanted more saturation of the power section when driving the amp hard and Hendrix also preferred darker speakers to soften the edges more.

I would guess this amp is loud and bright and not very fun to play; I would grabbing a soldering iron (or a pair of clippers as removing or adjusting the bright cap on the bright channel would fix a lot of it the weird high end frizz). I also would think the transformers aren't that great either like most of new Marshall products; plastic bobbins and all that.

I don't care if he played your moms filthy gash. The Hendrix amp i played dozens of times sounded almost exactly like that Deep Purple clip. The guy reza asked if anyone played through one, which i have, not the value of the fuckin resistors and tubes ya fuckin idiot.

I always thought the Hendrix cabs were purple, like the head? And came with G12C greenies which I think are great speakers, not the tv cabs?

I would bet the same. Most re-issue NMV ect Marshalls are too brite & spikey. [thin]

67' Superbass is the loudest stock Marshall ive ever played [besides a Major].

Just no substitute for original 60's & 70's Marshall.

Metro George does a better repro 60's Marshall than Marshall, or anyone else for that matter.

That goes for the cabs too.
