Marshall YJM 100 - More Info Needed...

Hi,

the order of product launch is company decision. I guess that because the AFD development was made public, the company decided to postpone the YJM release until the AFD100 was cleared up. Lucikly for me I am not part of those decisions

I am not aware about the 150 units to the USA. Last I heard was that the distributors/dealers were placing orders so if that figure is right I can imagine that it was what was requested in the USA...

First batch of AFD100s already landed in the USA, don't know if they reached the user yet though.

I've gotta think that for the entire US, there must be more than 150 guys interested in the YJM100?
Anyway, better for those of us who are!!!
Regarding the AFD100's - Guitar Center's NOT received anything yet, and I know a couple of other smaller, mid-west Marshall dealers who are still waiting as well. Hopefully we get our AFD's soon!

They only did 150 of the 1959RR amps too...there probably are more than 150 people interested (i.e. tire kickers)....may fewer that will pull the trigger.

shit. ok, and RR is probably just as legendary as YJM...maybe more. Thanks for the intel GG! I guess what's MOST intriguing to me is that the power scaling/attenuation feature would allow use everywhere, and without dragging a load box around (YMMV), while still achieving plexi tones. I was reading at the VM forums that the expected YJM ship dates are now late August 2011 and the AFD late March 2011

the only reason the yjm100 was annouced because of the internet link. otherwise...no one would have known about it until it was "ready." it was better to announce it at Namm and get the details right instead of having a bunch of guys on forums speculating...

I'm interested, can't wait to see what 'street' and used prices are. $2500 is ridiculous - I bought a really nice '72 Super Lead recently for much less than that.

coming from Chicago, you've gotta hate us out here we feel the same way about this state as the 49 others (feel about CA)....aside from the weather and hot chicks in bikinis, the CA administration/government is total shit bleeding liberals!

I'd think there would be more demand on these YJM's than the RR's due to the feature set, regardless whether it was a sig amp or not. I bought the RR and like it alot, the limited # of amps was a big push for me. They will have no problem selling out the 150....

and you probably have a nice 72 Superlead....I've not seen many used RR's around, only a couple really....hard to say how many YJM's could be floating around used.
