VX, T/D, SL, and EG3/4

from an inside source

The vox, t/d, and sl don't surprise me. I'm guessing those will replace his vox and super lead reissue heads for all his low gain stuff. I dunno about the EG3/4, but I can't see him getting rid of the VH4 anytime soon. Very interesting stuff.

3/4 is really close to a the VH4 channel he uses. He did say he could use it to be tweaked and it would really be awesome so I will be working with him on it. As far as I know the heads are going away for the tour!

Can't wait to see them in Raleigh, NC using some friggin Eggie gear for sho! :)

I will let you all know in September when I see them. :D

I really wish they were playing with U2 in Chicago. I'd go to the show in a heartbeat.

I wouldn't....Soldier Field sucks ass to see a concert :(

I much preferred U2 at the United Center when I saw them. That's why I'm heading to Raleigh, NC to see them. Smaller venue, and my best friend lives close too...so my wife and I are visiting him too ;)

I've never been to soldier field (inside anyway). So far the best place I've been for a concert in the area is Charter one pavillion near soldier field. I saw Incubus there last week.

Not much can beat the sheer hugeness of Alpine though.

I'm not that surprised, the EG3/4 kicks sooooooo much ass. I far prefer it to the eg5...

See, I told ya!!!! Everyone was asking, what can I do to get a Diezel sound? Tweak the EG3/4! That's what I did! Killer module in it's stock form, and versatile when tweaked slightly!!!

Which concludes that the modular foundation is the greatest thing to hit the amp market   Thank you Bruce!!!!!!!!

When my band makes it big, and Hilly has no choice but to endorse me, I want my endorsee quote to be:

"The Egnater Modular system, aside from providing great tone, lets capacitor-swapping hacks like me experiment with amplifier circuit modification, without the fear of electrocution associated with other amps."

- Nicholas Pierro, Guitarist and Vocalist: A Clean Getaway

two days later we read in Guitar player that the tour is cancelled due to Nick taking 430 volts from the module when working on it and rendering his pinky finger useless!

Nice! Muse is without a doubt one of my all-time favorite bands!

Jeff: any word on what sort of modifications Matt is thinking of for the EG 3/4? Just curious. :)

Correct.

His tone is dark and smooth to my ears so the EG3/4 makes sense and I am guessing it is stock.
He is also a HUGE Rio Grande pickup endorser. I think he uses the Crunch Box/ Punch Box set.

I never ever thought of the EG3/4 sounding like a Diesel which is very modern heavy to my ears. The EG sounds more smooth Marshall to me. How are you guys tweaking to get it to sound like that?

i'd like to know how what mods you guys are making to the module as well if possible.

Also, he has been using bareknuckle pickups in almost all of the guitars he uses now days. A couple of the older ones were the Rio Grande pickups though. That was back in the day when he used Marshall DSL 100 amps.

Aren't Bareknuckles really pricey for us guys in the states??????
