I had mentioned in the original thread for this pedal that I ordered one of the first 100.

I essentially ordered this just to review it on my Youtube channel and see how it stacks up vs the standard TS9, with the intent to sell it afterwards (I've already had multiple people offer to buy it from me)

I shot a little review video of it today, which I will post up tonight. I have to say, I'm extremely impressed with it. I have no idea what design changes Mike implemented, but they sound great to my ear.

The pedal certainly has much more output than your standard TS9, pushing the amp much harder. With the increased output comes increased noise, but that's to be expected.

It seems to have almost a gutteral growl to it, where it has actually added both lower and upper mids, and doesn't seem to thin out the frequencies as much as a TS9

On the low end, it still removes a fair bit, but seems to still keep the percussive frequencies in tact, and adds a more modern, clanky feel and sound to the signal.

I put it through a Multi Watt Dual Rectifier and JMP 2203 and it sounded great through both amps.

Probably a repackaged Keeley... :poke:
Haha!

Would it be surprising at this point? I always stray away from Fortin shit because it seems a large portion of it is revealed to be a ripoff of other people's designs.
Also, price.
Also, association with the "Fortin Army" is not something I'm really interested in.

If he did tweak the design and not copy someone else's though, he did good with this.

C’mon, video already!!!! You’ve spoiled us rotten!!! We demand instant gratification!!!! :poke:

Here's the video review. I had fun with this one. Compared it to the TS9 at a couple points to give you an idea of how different they sound.

great demo man!! and great choice of amps to show what the pedal can do, thanks!!

Another well done video, nice job. Love that guitar too, the Matthias Jabs fan in me wants one...but it also makes me think of Airbourne who are also really cool.

Awesome video man, like always!

I was skeptic but curious about this one. I thought about buying the pedal early to get a signed one, so i wouldn't loose to much selling it afterward.

Haha i got screwed, it's going nowhere!

Haha! Thanks man. I had the guitar on my "Sell' List, but removed it after playing for this video. Whoops! Lol

That was 100% my intention, but now I am also stuck with this thing, as it sounds way too good to let go

Any idea how it differs from Fortins own Hex drive?
I’d also be curious about this and would love to hear a shootout of those. I thought the Hexdrive was actually pretty good for a newer drive pedal, but had other stuff I liked better

I've never played any other Fortin pedals besides the grind for about 30 seconds. (hated it)

I'd like to grab a Hexdrive for comparison as I also hear good things

Hex Drive is a killer pedal, actually. My only complaint is the price.
