Been that way for decades, imo.Ok....this tune came on Sirius last night as I was driving. Cranked it up and was really digging the tone and overall mix. Drums and bass sit pretty and everything.
Next song was "the Judas kiss" by Metallica.
The difference was startling.
The equivalent of a pack of hungry/snarling/violent and rabid wolves against an over fed/lazy chihuahua couch potato growling at you for waking it up from a nap.
Dave is still angry and hungry.
Metallica is phoning it in.
Pretty sure whomever programmed these two songs next to each other had the same sentiment.
Just sayin'.
I'm selective with my Metallica, especially the later stuff. The last album had some awesome songs and some thst were just ok.I can not even listen to Metallica anymore unless its MOP or earlier. Megadeth on the other hand still sounds good to me no matter what cd I choose to listen to.
Definitely!Thinking this is gonna be a great follow up to Dystopia.
I hear thatYeah! Like SFSGSW, meets RIP meets Dystopia. I dig it.
I always imagine what rust would sound like with countdowns production. That would so damn goodRust in Peace is a masterpiece. Though the band has gone through several incarnations they continue to rock.
Max Norman had them dialed in for Countdown. I feel like he and the band stepped it up a few notches for Youthanasia, everything about that album was amazing.I always imagine what rust would sound like with countdowns production. That would so damn good
I love youth as well but I missed the speed factor . But it is greatMax Norman had them dialed in for Countdown. I feel like he and the band stepped it up a few notches for Youthanasia, everything about that album was amazing.
Right, the speed was dialed down but felt like quality of the music went up. They were tight and I think it was the best Dave’s voice has ever sounded on a record.I love youth as well but I missed the speed factor . But it is great
I’m listening to it now . It’s where I’m at in the discographyRight, the speed was dialed down but felt like quality of the music went up. They were tight and I think it was the best Dave’s voice has ever sounded on a record.
