Hi all,

Anyone seen a fully loaded IIC+ for sale lately? What is the current price level?

I’ve seen multiple in the 7k range. HRG head just serviced by Mike, loaded with sylvanias, went for 7k last week, as well as some combo DRG and SRG in the same range. Anything above that is just typical greed

If you keep your eyes open you can still find reasonable priced ones.
I paid $4500 for this DRGX last year.

The market in general is cooling off, so I'll be really curious to see how the C+ prices fare. Especially with the MKVII, which I believe is the first copy to get it right, or at least right enough that it'll take some pressure off the OGs. (which the V and the JP did not)

Just saw a IIC+ go for 7k shipped on TGP.

Paid 4300 + s/h for my III++ Coliseum 180W. When Mike retires, prices are only going to go up.

It’s F’n crazy how much the MKIIC and MKII C+’s have gone up.

My 2 ‘84 MKIiC+ combos with road cases and my ‘83 MKIiC head cost me a total of $2600.

I guess I picked mine up at the right time.

It’s absolutely nuts. Not even close to worth it right now to me. Especially considering you can get 95 percent of the way there with a III, or whatever iteration for a 1/4 of the price. There’s way better amps out there for less IMO.

Maybe so, but the jp2c would be easier to find in great shape and essentially be a new amp. I'm sure it still does a great high-gain mark tone.
People say it is too boxy in mids. Can believe in that, becausе well Joh Peteucci signature hehe

Never had a IIC+ but had a JP-2C for a year or two. I thought it was pretty sweet but did have a bassy characteristic that couldn't be dialed out. Got the Mark VII and it's so raw and aggressive with less coloring than the JP. Even though I bought both for their supposed IIC+ mimics, the IV mode is actually where I live and the JP has been sold. I wouldn't pay today's prices for a IIC+ no matter how much better they are.

Expensive enough you’d probably have more fun with an IIB and a mark 3. They look to be down 30%ish from peak, same with 3’s. Give it some time, I don’t see them moving like they were at peak prices.

I’ve had all the boogies! Listen up, the quad preamp is the amp that you want, the absolute best sounding boogie product ever made, hands-down. ( for metal )

Theres a quad for sale near me but the lady wants 2k for it. At one point I offered to trade an 84 corvette for a Mark IIC+… no takers lol. The lady even has a strategy 500 for 1000. I’m thinking of just offering 2500. But yea IIC+ prices are insane right now.

Is difference between strategy 400 and 500 only power?
