Mesa Quad Preamp: The Ultimate Alternative to the 2C+ Reissue!?! (Michael Nielsen video)

The difference you can actually hear is incredibly negligible. Maybe slightly brighter out of the Send but not worth worrying about.

But you can feel the extra compression by using the returns on the Quad and then sending the outs to the power amp...
 
this is actually a really good point. Nothing impossible about reproducing the quad right?
While they're reissue happy, this or some new mark flavored pre amp would be really cool to see.
Lets get that simul satellite reissued while we're at it for the modeling crowd or the mark geeks who want to make those things REALLY shine. those who've played that set up know.
when was the last power amp they put out?!
How about the "mesa boogie herritage series" where they reissue one of the strategy power amps, or the quad, or the barron hi-fi audio amp.
all for 10k a piece of course limited to 50. all solid gold wiring, platinum solder joints, for the thrash playing lawyer. the "black cargo pants" crowd.
i might have smoked weed before i hit the forum this morning.
