I know the C sounds absolutely beautiful and I would love to own one one day.

But they aren’t easy to come by in Denmark or Europe.
I might have a chance to pick up a D revision. Have anyone tried both? Are they close?

I’ve had F, G, Multiwatt and Hermansson mod. My favorite so far was a particular black face F rev. Should have kept it. :(

Hermansson mod? yum....that dude has the midas touch....sorry I'm no help...

D is the only one I haven't had, so I'm useless here sorry.

I think it's the most rare of the bunch, besides the A and B prototypes, whatever became of those?? probably in Randall's garage.

Yea the D is the rarest, maybe 200 of them max or something?

For what it’s worth ( and it’s not much to me personally) the rev D is fluff’s favorite of the bunch, and he’s a bit of a recto fanboy like me and others.

The reality is you definitely can’t go wrong. If you like the recto sound you’ll more than likely love this one a lot. It can’t be too terribly different than a rev C or a rev F Just due to how many were produced and the timeframe they were. If I had the money it would be a no brainer, especially in Europe where they are even more rare.

Not to derail too much, but what did you prefer about the F over the Multiwatt? Did you also prefer the G over the Multiwatt?
