It blows my mind that anyone would think Hetfield should just wear black and sit in a room with a white "Eet Fuk" explorer the rest of his life. The dude is old for crying out loud. When my grandfather was his age he was smoking a pipe on the porch listening to Tennessee Ernie Ford albums. James is a badass and is doing a tour and handles it better than when I mow the yard.

Still not the biggest fan of the guitar tone, but this album has really grown on me. Too Far Gone is my current favorite song, but I really like several.

Grown on me a ton too. I hated the singles. I thought it was going to be one of their worst albums. After a month of listening, I think it's their best since Load. The only song I really don't like is Screaming Suicide.

I thought it was boring at first, but now I think it's really good. I listen to it a ton.

Last 6 tracks is where it gets good .

i dont really expect anyone at almost 60 to be playing quite as fast as they were at 22, but then again megadeth, exodus, testament and other of their contemporaries are playing as fast and tight as ever so ill blame laziness before age :dunno:
Nailed it.

Ok I admit it has grown on me too. I’m starting to think Hetfield can carry a song with his vocals, Melodies, and emotion. It used to be about the guitars but now it’s more about the vocals (for the most part).
Do agree
