OT: i got corruption for the wii, and i think its fantastic, as well as the first, although 3rd imo is the best. after playing the halo's, i prefer metroid. plus samus would kick chief's ass! any other thoughts?
 
Metroid wins by a long shot, all though Corruption kinda sucks.

The only specs that can be compared about Halo and Metroid are that they are both FPS games. That is it.

Metroid is the shit. Halo is now gay and everyone knows it now that there are far superior games out, hence why whenever you play Halo 3 now, all you hear are little kids and e-thugs. They have no skill at video games, so Halo 3 is all they can play. Thankfully though, that makes them not play real games like CoD 4 and MoH:A and others.

I've been playing CoD4 online on the PC though, loads of fun.

Metroid's better. The game had a far larger impact on gaming as a whole than Halo ever would. Halo's just a flavor of the day type of thing.
 
nothing can beat the original Metroid...i had so many hours of fun with that game :rock: havent played any of the newer ones though, i should pick them up...still got a Game Cube so i dont have to take up the Wii until Corruption!

still...the OG Metroid is the shiznit!

Super Metroid is one of the games I play once a year at least, and I usually follow it up with the original. Greatest video games ever IMO. :rock:

I've got both, and Metroid can certainly hold its own against COD (understatement of the century)

Sky town was one of my favorite game settings ever, I loved the steampunk vibe

Oh and samus would kick master chiefs ass :rock:
 
Super Metroid is better than pretty much any game I can think of from the last 10 years.

Prime 3 can go suck a fuck. No multiplayer after a huge delay...go Nintendblow!

That said, I really enjoyed Corruption. Second favorite Wii game behind Mario Galaxy.

Also, for those of you talking about Super Metroid, I downloaded it on the Virtual Console when it came out. That game is absolutely fantastic :thumbsup: One of the better games I've ever played.

Super Metroid > Metroid > FPS Metroid's > GBA Metroids > GB Metroids...

I cant rank that DS metroid game because Ive never played it. I have beat all of them except MP2 (I never really had a chance to get into it) and MP3 (havent yet bought it)

Halo has a good story... and single player but to me thats all it is good for a decent single player game. The online is just too damn repetitive for me.

well, taking more time to fine tune it instead of giving us something shit in the end is better, plus how the hell would multiplayer with metroid work?
