The clean channel will break up some with gain turned up. Another option is that we can offer it with 2 dirty channels. Amps are built to order so each customer has some options.
Is the basic difference between the Purple and Red circuits, more gain? Red being more gainy. Does the JB reflect one of those circuits?

Yes, on the 50w amps. The Purple is more classic but still more gain than a stock 2204. And the Red is a more modded higher gain circuit. At this point we don’t see the need for two 100w models. Jimmy wanted it to cover a lot of ground tone and gain wise and it really does. You can run the gain on 2-3 and get great AC/DC, Zeppelin and other classic tones. And then on from there. 5-7 on the gain is the sweet spot for ‘80’s and up higher gain. And then there’s also the saturation circuit.

Wow, thank you! 🤘👏 Nothing has more of that Marshall flavor than 10 real mustard caps in these new 100’s!
Marks amps are the tits. If I wasn’t swimming in amp heads right now I’d have one on order. Plugged into what Mark called a ‘prototype’ this past winter/spring time frame and it’s been haunting me ever since. Mark if you recall was that this amp?

Yes, that prototype was what has become the MGL100. The proto was built on two 50w chassis’s. One was the preamp section and the other was the power section.

This isn’t to bitch about but I have to say when I went to the website, the price broke my heart a little…😢
Good luck with it though as it sounds great.

I think the 50 is well priced and has no lack of lowend. It is a fun amp to play.
I played for a small group tonight. The amp was a hit despite the player

Sorry, I know you're not bitching and understood. High end amp components are expensive and 100 watters are even more. The tone and feel are always first before pricing for us. Our 50w's are very competitive and less than other comparable amps. Take a look at the build specs, even at $3,500.00, our 100w is fair for today's market. Many custom parts and mostly all real mustard caps throughout our circuit. We're small and not looking to sell a ton of amps. It's about less amps and more passion into each one. All amps are built to order and much time is put into each completed amp to make sure they meet our expectations.

Just finished 3 gigs in a row this weekend with the amp. Sounded great, sound men liked the tone!
I had the master on 4, gain 6-7. I like all the switches set to vintage. I use different variations of switch settings for recording.

I’m using the Marshall in the photo as backup.
