Using the MIDI on these amplifiers can I change just the channels or can I change the channels and its modes too (Clean, Fat, Tweed... Mark IIB, IIC+, IV)?

You can't change modes. You can change channels and program any switch in the position you want when on that channel. That's about it.

I just looked at the manual over, it’s for people that understand what midi is in the first place, not for me.

This is really a step forward for the geniuses’ that play guitar. I’m just a regular fucking guitar player, I don’t need no goddamn midi shit.

Look, anytime I try to use midi it was a complete failure. Even some of my set ups were so complicated that if one cord wasn’t plugged in, I lost five minutes in front of a crowd looking for why it wasn’t making any noise. Sometimes the heat of the day would start changing channels in the middle of a song without anything being touched. Fucking nightmare.

I hope all of you that use your Midi have better luck than I have had. I’m set up in five minutes now at a gig.

Just channels and functions that are on the footswitches that come with the amps.
Mark V does not have midi compatibility unless you get the mesa external midi matrix box, I use a Rocktron patchmate to control MarkV using the switching jacks on the rear panel of the amp using MIDI

I have read the manual two days ago.
I asked because I am a completely noob about MIDI and could be messing something more complex like the channel/mode changes.
Thank you all!
