How do you Soldano guys like the JCA22H?

I think it's a great amp but it is slightly different, for the better in my opinion <ducks and runs> I imagine it's closer to the hot rod 25.

Cool. It doesn't need to move mountains, but $400 clams is a good price if it's a good little amp.
True  I have liked the clips I have heard of the 22H and 100HDM for $800

Very cool, really want to try one.

The depth mod sounds useful at lower volumes to help fill it out...at least from descriptions.

How do you know Jimmy? I used to really be into Jimmies Chicken Shack back in the day. I remember seeing them at the 8x10 and hearing the guitar tones thinking, 'that is the thickest guitar sound I have ever heard'. Ever since then the SLO has been the amp I have always wanted. Went to buy one in 2007 and walked out with an EVH. Still want an SLO though.

LOL u walked out with a evh?
I know, people around here seem to not believe that   . Maybe its because I went for an amp that is half the price and therefore could no way be the better choice. For the gigs I was doing I really needed a channel switcher with a great loop. I have no regrets, it's been my main amp since 2007 and I really dig it. The EVH does EVERYTHING well.

I've got a stock SLO and couldn't imagine it sounding any better than it does now. From hearing the description if what those mods do to the tone, it sound like anything a good eq in the loop couldn't do. I'd try that first before dropping all that coin on mods.

'Not rippin on ya, but you pretty much said the amp of my dreams, but didnt get it.. I thought that was funny.. anyways if its good enough for evh, it must be pretty good.

I figured at the time that it wasn't going to be the last SLO ever built.

In the early days he lived in the same (mansion) band party house. They use to play at Anne Arundle county fair grounds a mile and a half up the road from that old mansion. We had a 2 acre front yard with a huge permanent stage built for weekend parties. His first guitarist (Jim McD) used my Morley vol/wah pedal recording the first cd and lived with a buddy of mine. One of the guys that would do sound is Jamie Rappahn (panda Productions) is now doing sound for 311-ZZ Top and a few other bands. I remember getting the "Pushing the Salmanilla Envelope" a month before it came out.

If like to go see him again. He keeps sending me invites.

For the warren hayes mod instead of removing the bright cap I like reducing it from the stock 1000pf to 500pf.

Same kind of thing with a typical Marshall. Bright cap has less of an impact the higher the volume is set. Most either clip it or reduce the value. I found that clipped, it was too dark. But with a low value like 250 or 500 it was ok. I'd wager it's similar with an SLO. Some people even put different values on a switch.

Mike is a very cool guy. I actually spoke to him on the phone last week. I hear Bill is the same way.

Mike is the best. He called me a few years ago on my Bday. Still have the message on my phone. Had a dinner with him and Dave Friedman a few years ago. Pretty amazing conversation between my fav amp guys.

Went to his shop 3 times last year.
Mike is always thier and very friendly/outgoing to talk to.
Real Customer service skills

Wish he had a Mod that moved the location of the Loop in the SLO to the real world position that most all other amps employ

I had an HR100 and wanted to know if it had the depth mod done to it. Emailed Soldano and Bill called me back the same day...I sent him pics of the circuit and he confirmed that it had been done. He walked my tech on how to remove it. Good sounding amp with a boost...great company. :)
