Distortion pedal in a box for consoomers who just gotta have the logo. That first friedman one must have sold well to justify all these other ones.

Copying amp circuits with jfets in place of tubes is nothing new as stated earlier, I think runoffgroove might have started that like 20 years ago.

I wonder if these cheap practice amps with the Soldano logo or the Bogner logo will cheapen the brands. Right now if you’ve got an amp that says Soldano or Bogner it means you’ve got some expensive, high quality, exclusive amp, that probably sounds pretty good as long as you know how to play guitar and can dial it in. Maybe in the future that won’t be the case, like what happened to Marshall when they started selling solid state practice amps… and barstools and headphones.

I get what you are saying and mostly agree about the mini amps but my Marshall Solid State 5275 75 watt 1x12 amp kicked alot of 50 and 100 watt half stacks asses back in the day and sounded pretty good while doing it but that amp was made with MOSFETS like and H&H power amps and Randalls of the day. I still had my 2203 full stack but when I traveled to jam the 5275 was no slouch....
 
I’ve yet to hear a solid state amp that compared to the Randall RG-80 I had back in the day. I know the 100’s sound great too, but never owned one.

Also some of the hybrid designs from WAY back were good too. Marshall 3203, also had a Legend Rock N Roll 50 that was cool.

Most of these mini’s seem like they might be decent for couch time practice? Lots of other options nowadays for that tho.

Came out 20 years ago, can be found used for less than this Soldano amp will be sold at. I am not trying to simply rip the Soldano minis or any of the new mini heads, but these mini heads are not a step forward in any way.

ey i have one of these!

far as the slo mini, it looks cool in like the marshall bluetooth speaker gimmick way but overall i’d much rather have the katana m1 head i got for $300 back when it was relatively new. sounds great from clean to smoldering with boss fx, loop, DI & headphone out, aux in, and 4 ch midi switching.

I had a Tech 21 Trademark 10 too, sounded killer....and yeah I’ve got a couple high maka maka style amps right now, but I’ve also got a Katana 50 MKII combo I got for $125 in as new condition that will smoke these mini manini faka’s 🤙
 
A bunch of people will buy these and think this is a viable lower wattage substitute for a 3500 amp. I've already seen a few comments with guys getting excited about their order they placed for these. All the youtubers are pushing them heavy right now only for them to completely ignore them 2 weeks from now

i would like to mess with one through a real tube power amp like VHT or Mesa and 4x12
