I'll bet the new one's gonna sound like this.... :D

That video is so bad ass. It's what sold me on the awesomeness of the CCV. Mine delivers!

That's the same video that got me interested in a CCV.

Yeah...that amp is amazing. Sounds just like that, in person. Love to hit the big open chords...just kills. A big ol' A, G, and D and I'm smiling :D

Damn. I've probably watched this video 1000 times since it first hit YouTube. This, to me, is the best sounding Marshall that was never made. It is amazing. I tried on three separate occasions to buy one of these amps from when this video was new up until about 6 months ago. I finally gave up. There was always some kind of bullshit in the way on their end and, thankfully, it never happened. It's looking like I'll finally be able to get one now. I really hope that they sound like this particular amp. I don't think any of the amps in any of the other Cameron videos have sounded as good as this one.

The CCV will have all of the parts Mark wants including his Cameron Spec Red Mercury Transformers. I took him to the electronics store personally last week with HIS hand written list of exactly what he wanted in his amps all along but either didn't have the money to source. He is hand building the pre production CCV today with these parts with us at our facility and we are using that and the original proto as the baseline. This will be the best CCV Mark has ever made according to him. It will be done right, repeatable and sound killer, whats not to like?

Those red Mercury Transformers are the bee's knees!!

Well, being that I own that amp, and Brad, Mark, Rob and Dave will have all the access they want or need for voicing the new one that way, I'd say that it will sound just like that :D

That sounds awesome... that great British voiced aggression is very apparent in the above clip. Mark certainly designed one hell of an amp there! I can't wait to hear the production CCVs as well. Perhaps someone should do a shootout between the production model and this prototype one that Mark built? That could be cool.

I could see that happening :D

I have to see, I totally agree with Todd. I already regret selling my CCV.

I am starting to GAS hard for this. Can it actually cleanup? I have not heard a single clean tone. Anyone that has one please post a video if possible.

This video shows Mark Day straight into the and riding the volume control on the high gain side to clean it right up. That said the amp has a very good clean channel and a low gain side for ZZ Top ish vibes and tones.

See here:

Yea the clean channel is awesome. Prob is that its ALSO awesome for gain. I used channel 1 as my main rhythm channel and rolled my volume down for clean. Just because its so awesome for that lower medium gain thing I like.

Mark lent me his original prototype which he put in a two twelve bogner combo shell with G12-H30's in it for a couple of months when I didn't have an amp. What surprised me the most were the cool low gain SRV type blues tones I got out of it with a Strat, and some pretty nice pure clean for funk as well - it's extremely versatile if you're the type of player who covers a lot of styles, no it's not a blackface, but it can do quite a bit more than the typical Plexi cleans which I think can sound a little "boxy".

I don't understand why men would even sell it if they love it so much  Is it really worth the extra $$$$ to sacrifice the tonez you love so much? Hopefully the new one at $3,299.00 will still satisfy men that loved the old one that sold it anticpitating the new one becasue the old one may not be worth as much when the new ones are available :loco:

Its my experience that people sell stuff they really like not because they want to but because they need the dough.

I sold mine because I paid a lot for it on the used market and I had also paid Mark for one. Since Brad will be getting us our amps, I didn't want two so I sold it to get as much of my $ back out of it as possible.

The clean channel is awesome. I didn't expect that, but it is.

Well kick my nutz! Todd are you still at the guitar shop in Woodbury? Any chance you'll bring it in for show & tell when you finally get yours?
