Mixing speakers in a 2x12, yay or nay?

Just remember, your cab will only be rated to handle twice the wattage of the lower output speaker. (depending on how it is wired)
So an H30/V30 mix would give you a 60watt cab and would be good for a 50watt head or so. Even then, if you really crank it I think the amp is still pushing more power than that. They peak much higher.
 
Go for it! But I ended going back to using 2 of the same speaker. I'm using 2 WGS Retro 30s and they sound great. No desire to mix now.

Right now I am contemplating the following WGS combos:

vet 30 / HM75
vet 30 / ET65
vet 30 / Lead 80

I want something that is good at high gain but still articulate so I think the last 2 combos might be the better choices.
