Yes, I literally just fabbed one to try. It started squealing with it on and then I started moving the ground wire from my jack to my ground bus and depending where that’s routed it’s goes away. I got it to a point where it’s silent now with gain maxed, but why is that ground wire making that kind of impact?

I've also had issues with my ground bus too when adding a gain stage. Getting it away from the Master Volume and Treble controls and shortening the overall excess length of the bus of helped with mine.
