I think there was someone on one of the HC forums that used to work for Monster Cable (you perhaps?). He told that you could get >$100 retail cables for about $10 if you were an employee, and they still had profit.
Sometimes I'm just so curious about what the profit margins are on some products... I can understand manual labour is expensive, who wants to make the same pedal over and over; but paying those prices for a little piece of machine-made cable.

i own quite a few of them and have gigged them non-stop and have NEVER had a problem, period.
