My goal is to own all the diezel amps very soon. I just played 2 vh4's and loved them Plus I am really checking out the schmidt. I know it sounds crazy but I love diezel amps and if you find something you like why not.

You'd have more than $30,000 in guitar gear... that's a little crazy unless you're a professional, touring, major-lable musician. But, that's just me I guess...

If you can afford it and have a passion for the diezel tone why not, I'm just jealous and I have some pretty nice gear.

I played semi pro for a few years and I am now trying to get the right guys and get it going again have many contacts. But beyong that I just love playing and I love gear and besides I do not drink or do drugs in any way shape or form " I JUST DON'T PARTY" I spend my money on thing's that I enjoy and can get you money back if needed. If that affends then so be it.Plus I like being able to share my gear with people who want to try it out in our area because you can not find it in this area anywhere and that is one of the most important things I can do as a musician in this world today....

You just nailed my life's story on the head... My wife loves me to bits - sees all these custom Les Pauls, ESP's, and Hamers and so forth coming through the door; Diezels, cabinets, Bogners, amp heads, gear - my computer is constantly on RT or some similar gear related site. I asked her one night why it didn't drive her nuts? Her reply? "Well babe, you don't drink, you don't get high, you don't "hang with the boys playin' poker or hitting the strip clubs", you don't surf porn, you're always mellow, you're a great dad, and a fuckin' awesome lover... I say BUY ALL THE GEAR YA WANT!!! Some girls should BE so lucky" and I am not joking folks, that was the reply of my most excellent wife... And I agree - when I kicked all the bad habits - and I had a shitload, believe me - I got into Buddhist based meditations. Since then, things have mellowed in that arena, but I still play - a LOT - in fact, more than ever before. For me it's one in the same... So we're ALL good with it - buy it, play it, use it, abuse it... There are worse things out there for sure!!

And judging from the fact I just made my mind up to buy an Einy with matching 2x12, now I'm already looking at the Schmidt like.....why not??? Diezel KICKS ass. Period. Best tone, at least for me, in the entire world...sure beats snorting rails off a hookers ass, falling out of my own car drunk while I'm driving (long story but it happened), getting pounded by the cops, always in debt, rehab, pills, powders, the scenes....forGET it!!

I love the attitude about loving Diezel everything.
I'm the same way. I just work and bother no one. My wife knows how picky I am about my gear, but I feel that it is just having pride in one's self, working tools, and tone.

Let the rest of the "also-rans" catch up to what we already know and have known for so long.

Right. Almost same here. I trade a lot, mostly boutique pedals, I guess just because I found my "temporary peace" with Eini (well maybe I'm gasing a little bit for a Schmidt and a Elmwood ;) ) But my wife simply says the same: "If this is what you need, do it and have fun" Since we got the kids I almost never party and rather spend my time and money on good gear. I think my gear is def better then my playing, but I simply like it a lot and don't feel bad for having good gear

My goal is to just be able to afford and keep the Diezel I have!!

 for the gear and the wife :D

James Lugo talked me into getting a VH4 and let me put it this way. I owe him big time! I am an engineer/producer and so playing with new gear sort of comes with the territory, but the VH4 has me the most pumped up about gear that I have been in years. It is so fun to use both playing and recording.

I can honestly say all the gear in this avatar, I paid for it in hard, hard, work..and thru lots of years..I said this on another post, some people on r.t. are made out of money.....Im not..and i really dont want a 6 figure salary(that wouldnt make me happy anyway),also nothing wrong w/ making big bucks( i have a lot of friends that do)....I also have friends who think nothing of booking a 4,500.00 big game hunt every year, or spending 3000.00 on set a premier golf clubs.........plus i do make some money w/ my rig doing sessions and gigging out, and thats all I need to put a smile on my face!..I respect the people like hard n heavy that are saving and buying just cause they like to...now, back to enjoying my diezel gear!!!! ;)

I say, if you want it and can afford it then more power to ya. I hate when people make excuses as to why spending all this money is gear is pointless unless your a touring musician. We all need somnething to keep us happy and out of other bad habits such as drugs, alcohol and gambling so for us its guitars and amps
