OK....you guys maybe have or havent been following my soap opera with the Diezels.
Sold my Vh4S to get the Herbert.
2009 model??
Serial # 01/937
Any help on what year it is?
There are no external bias points on this amp.
That was a bummer......but hey...it sounds FANTASTIC!
Loaded with EL34's
Well.......the Herbert arrived a couple hours ago....
This thing.....(my opinion of course)
can do everything and sounds INCREDIBLE!!
Channel 2 is AMAZING!! Has a built in gain boost type switch ( +/-)
For me its my AC/DC to Dokken switch.
I run the gain at about noon and ran alot of songs up the flag pole to check it out.
Passed them all with flying colors.
Didnt use the Mid Cut switch. No need for it..........Yet!
Channel 3 is where it gets nasty. For me it reminds me of Channel 4 of my Vh4 but little more GROWL with the gain at noon. Kick it to about 2 o'clock.....there isnt any metal that you cant do on this amp.
I dont understand where everyone says it dont cut? I havent played it in a band setting yet(This weekend) but it BLASTS right now alone! I am running a full stack. 180 watts of Pure bliss.
Why I hesitated is beyond me.
This amp is as good as it gets.
I have owned alot of amps....and this is the KING OF THE HILL!
It just sounds fantastic!!
Peter.....I thanked you for making the VH4S......
but would love to SHAKE YOUR HAND for this HERBERT!!
Yeah.......I am A Diezel Fanboi.......
