I came to the conclusion that the Line6 POD XT Live I have been playing though for the last 5 years was not the champ I thought it was. *pause for flogging* :gethim:

I recently started playing with a guy who has a pro rack rig and was just blown away by his tone. So after some discussion with my wife I decided it was time to upgrade. Everything.

And it ended where it began...with the preamp.

I originally bought a Mesa Boogie Triaxis (which is what my buddy plays through) but additional research led me to Egnater and so I sold the Mesa before I ever powered it on and began looking for an M4.

Well, I just ordered a New Egnater M4 Preamp and a Rebel 112x Cab from Frank at Amp Lounge (thanks Jeff!)

So here is the final build...

TC Electronic G-System
Ernie Ball 6180 VP JR 250k - Volume
Ernie Ball 6181 VP JR 25k - Expression
Egnater M4 Preamp w/2 modules (for now)
Mesa Boogie 20/20 Amp
BBE Sonic Maximizer 882i
Hughes & Kettner Red Box Classic
SKB 1SKB-R6W
(Still need to find a case for the pedal board)

And then there is the guitar...

Carvin SH575B

WOOD:

SPALTED MAPLE TOP
SPALTED MAPLE HEADSTOCK (TRADITIONAL HEADSTOCK SHAPE - NOT CT6 HEADSTOCK)
FLAMED MAPLE BODY (A $600 ONE-OF-A-KIND OPTION)
FLAMED MAPLE NECK (A $200 ONE-OF-A-KIND OPTION)
BIRDSEYE MAPLE FRETBOARD (always wanted one of those)

FINISH:

NATURAL CLEAR GLOSS FINISH ALL THE WAY AROUND
SUNSET BURST EDGES ON SPALTED TOP
SUNSET BURST EDGES ON SPALTED HEADSTOCK
ABALONE DIAMOND FRETBOARD INLAYS
ABALONE Carvin LOGO ON HEADSTOCK

HARDWARE:

GOLD BIGSBY
STAINLESS STEEL MEDIUM JUMBO FRETS
GOLD HARDWARE
STRAPLOCKS INSTALLED
CREAM BEZELS (WITH A SPARE SET OF BLACK AS WELL)
ENGRAVED TRUSS ROD COVER

Congrats! You will love the M4.

Which modules did you get?

Sounds great! I too run an M4 through a 20/20 into a 1x12 (or sometimes a 4x12, but for most gigs I just use the 1x12 . . . ). I use an Eventide Eclipse and a SoundSculpture SwitchBlade, but for the $ the G-system should give great FX and decent routing/mixing options.

What are you planning on using the BBE Sonic Maximizer 882i for?

Nice Rig
Nice guitar... I love my Carvins

But, your shopping spree has just begun my friend. Once your experience the Egnater tone for yourself, you will only spend more and more on it. :D
You will get used to rationalizing the next module purchase.

Just warning you.

You speak the truth man...Look at me...I have a Mod100 / Mod50 / M4 and like 8-9 modules! :)

+1

Myself, if I had a dollar for every time I told my wife "I think the rig is complete now"...

And told myself that too!! :)

But the thing is...i'm getting closer...I've been usign the M4 for a year and a half...by far the longest for me next to my Voodoo modded JMP-1 preamp. The Randall RT2/50...i love....the Mod50 I love. All the modules are right where I have wanted them. Same w/ my guitars.

Time to SHUT UP AND PLAY! :)

You'll regret selling that Mod100 if you ever decide to man. I'd just get that thing modded by Jeff for dualies. I love the Mod100. My favorite "Egnater head" for sure! The Mod50 is really awesome too...but the Mod100 is more me!! I'm gonna keep the Mod50 to be more of my "blues amp" to use with my 4x10. The Mod100 is gonna sit on a bit 4x12 w/ Scumback M75s ;)

Your right of course!
I will be sending it in for the upgrade. I'm sure I would regret selling it.
I just love the M4-RT2/50 set up so much lately that the Mod 100 hasn't been played . I've got the Mod 50 (dry amp) integrated into the M4 rack via the RG16 and it really augments the M4 when the 2 are on together. I haven't tried it yet with the Mod 100, but I know it would kill too.

I've talked about selling it, but have been too busy to pursue it.

I hear ya man. I think if it had dual channel modules, you'd use it more, since you could use all of the same modules in either of the 3 setups. That's what led me to get Brad's Mod100

Oh man don't say that! One of the reasons I am cool with only two modules now is that I know I can grow into the other two over the next year. I would also but the Egnater rack power amp when it come out and sell the mesa. You listening Bruce? ;)
