i have this in a 2x12 with another speaker so i cant really tell how it sounds on its own, but i agree

I agree about Greenbacks having that nasally/honky quality. That’s why I much prefer the 20w Greenbacks. They’re not nasal, more so just grindy and aggressive in the midrange. Your clip still sounded quite good though with them. Nice job!

This 100%. Bought the 20’s on Sam’s advice for the same reasons and they grind hard.

Used them for years gigging, like them in a 412 that way. Close micd for recording, yuck. Ratty high end that I don’t like.

The first guitars I played were Strats and Strat style hot-rodded guitars. When I got my first Gibson Les Paul (a Studio) in 93' I was hooked.

A Les Paul is me and it is crazy because they are heavy, the necks break sometimes, and are clunky, but I just love that Les Paul tone.

I'm getting an SG soon and has been years since I owned one of those.
