My VHT Pittbull UL-100 w/EQ, or a new HERBERT!

I'm pretty sure I can't switch to EL-34s on my particular Pittbull UL-100. I found an old spec sheet that came with the amp that I had stashed away and it says:

14a. G-100-UL (what I have) KT88: sets bias for operation with KT88 Tubes. 6L6. Sets bias for operation with 6L6 power tubes. DISCONTINUED ON LATER MODELS.

14b. G-100-CLX: EL34: sets bias for operation with EL34 power tubes. 6L6: Sets bias for operation with 6L6 power tubes. DISCONTINUED ON LATER MODELS.

First of all your 14b section refers to a 100 CLX and not a UL. Both UL and CLX had a bias switch letting you choose between KT88 and 6L6 and EL34 and 6L6 respectively. This switch does not appear in current production models. Try the VHT users forum instead (www.vhtusers.com). The guys over there will be glad to help you.
 
I know. That's why I wrote parenthesis "G-100-UL (what I have)" hahaha.
