Got this a few weeks ago and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. Has 6ca7’s in it and I’m digging them. Only change in there is the power cord and there’s a knob replaced. This is an early PCB model. The boards in these are heavy duty and the traces are wider than the modern PCB stuff.

That baby sounds fantastic. I also have a bone stock '73 50 watt in the stable. And it also has that 'warm' thing going on like yours obviously does. Roll all the gain out of it and it almost sounds Fender-ish for lack of a better term. I have tried an assortment of AIB pedals in front of mine: Pinnacle, BE, Suhr Eclipse. That amp takes pedals like an absolute champ. Keeper amp for sure!

This is the only Marshall I have with the 6ca7’s and I’m wondering if that has anything to do with warming it up.

I haven’t tried many OD’s in front of this one either. The klon sounds great for sure. Used a JHS Morning Glory and it was way too dark. Going to run a few others soon and see what sounds best.

Sounds nice; congrats!

They are great pedal platforms.....my 72 is so good with a pedal, it chased away a great 69 marshall with an Aldrich mod.
