So... you know how I said I wasn't going to try the modern speed picking chugging stuff? Well I couldn't help it. The amp is too much fun dialed in like that not to.

Here's Channel 2 Ultra mode, built-in boost engaged, Gain up, Metamorph set to Tight and cranked to almost max impact which, turns out, also helps cut down some of the noise.
Guitar in Drop A. Double tracked. Straight in, no external pedals or external boosts. This amp definitely brings the clank when you want it.

I think I can hear the amp calling my name now. I feel like it has... such sights to show me.

That sounds really good. Nice and tight.

Clips sound real good, nice amp, sounds better than the TJ i owned, dont really sound like my rev blue or rev 1 i played but i think some of the flavor is there, so far i like what ive heard, and being able to adjust the pick response and tightness on this amp without a boost is something i wished more amps could do.

Just something to note is that I don't think there have been any clips of people directly comparing the Uber Ultra against any of the previous Uberschalls so it's hard to say for sure how close it can get. I don't have any of those so I can't directly compare them. Again though the Uber Ultra is really, really versatile and tweakable so I wouldn't rule out it being able to do previous Uberschall tones just yet. Either way I don't think we'll really know until we hear direct comparisons.

Dude it’s just so good. This amp is THE metal amp

Haven't wanted an amp in a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time.

This amp has piqued my curiosity more than just a smidge. Sounds incredible.

Thanks for the awesome post!! 🤘

Sounds mean! This amp can get so tight its more than ridiculous at times LOL

Not trying to hijack, but I just loaded a quad of Gold Lion KT88’s in my Ultra and it’s the most aggressive, thumping, pissed off amp I’ve ever played before now. I’ve got the standard EL34 model, had about 490v on the plates, biased them up to just a hair under 50ma and it slays! Bottom end thumps so damn hard but is still super tight, mids and highs are way clearer now too. I can’t imagine how the high voltage KT88 model sounds!

Hell yeah dude!

And you're not hijacking at all, the more the merrier. Feel free to post clips if you want, too. I have a quad of KT88's hanging around as well and I'm thinking of swapping the EL34's in my Ultra out for them also.

Oh and if I'm not mistaken, word is that the EL34 and KT88 models are literally the same amp, but they use different sets of leads on the transformer (which includes both sets of leads) to get less / more juice depending on whether you're running an all KT88 loadout as well. Anybody who knows better please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though.

That’s 100% true about the transformers, I saw a second set of HT secondary leads that were taped off when I had the chassis out. I’m tempted to hook those up but I’m not sure if there’s anything else that has to be done, I imagine there’s a dropping resistor somewhere that’d need to be changed as well, otherwise the voltages all throughout the amp would be a lot higher which would change the tone/feeling. Hopefully someone more adventurous than myself tries that and lets us know!
