Wow, I'd be surprised if it's his old amp, never thought he would sell it.

What's different about it?NewWorldMan":2481zhqt said:Apparently the earlier of my two has Reinhold's "personal mod" on V1. Not sure what it's supposed to do or change, but it's definitely a little different than the "stock" configuration.

337 used to be mine before I sold it to James...while I'm pretty much a plexi guy these days, I still miss that amp. Congrats!NewWorldMan":203gn2th said:Death by Uberschall":203gn2th said:Wow, I'd be surprised if it's his old amp, never thought he would sell it.
Well, it's definitely the same serial number - 337. I ran across that when I was digging around for information on the revisions.

Any amp for that matter, but with me and my TJ and Rev.2, I went opposite all you gainernuts and reign back the gain using some 5751 tubes in the preamp section. What it did was remove the compression and opened it up to be an absolutely terrifying fucking device. Articulate, crushing, thick, and loud. Both my TJ and Rev.2 have benefitted from this tone-tuning.
My ears only, YMMV.
But whatever, great amps... Special. Not, like, "short bus" special but you know, "cool" special
