Do not run that amp through just two 25w speakers without an attenuator. You will blow them in short order.

You still only get 4x the value of the lowest wattage speaker in the quad. So that's a 100w cab with a head that, while rated for 100w, probably puts out 130w. And you should still run double the wattage speakers as your head.

I had a Marshall AHW 4x12 with the 30w 55Hz Greenbacks and blew two of them after a lot of hours of running a 100w head at full tilt through it. You'll be good for a while and it will sound like heaven .... until it doesn't. And then you will need new speakers IF you're lucky. Blow one or two and don't notice it and the impedance mismatch can fry your OT before you know it.
 
So here it is folks! I haven't had too much time to play but damn this thing rocks hard! The TC Electronics pedals really makes it breathe fire!

This to me sounds like you made a dumb mistake & most don't do that. I ran a 100watt JCM 800 through a 1960BHW cab for a year before i sold it to my friend & he runs a 100 watt soldano avenger & 100 Watt Archon Through it but guess what? NEVER AT FULL TILT Cause that would be DUMB!
 
The classic Marshall mids are there in abundance! Your TC settings are how I pretty much ran mine. It’s bass control seems to be centered at a very low, rumble ish frequency so it’s only good for dialing out flub, not so much for adding low mid warmth. The treble control is very glassy so best not to boost that frequency.

Then why do those knobs go above 5? I had an SLO and it was a totally different amp with the master on 7 than it was on 3. Night and day difference. And your 100w Marshall goes over 100w with the volume way below 10. If you use a half stack for a practice amp and like it, then have at it. I like running my Marshalls the way they were meant to run. Since I don't want to deal with two 4x12s (which is what 100w Marshalls are made for) at home, I now use an attenuator to save my speakers. It's still crazy loud, so I use cheap earplugs to save my ears. But the true, classic Marshall tone comes at high volumes and with making the speaker push some air.
 
Congrats on the amp - sounds great! Picked up a minty ‘78 JMP 2204 last year and love it. As others have said, they’re great amps. I stuck a hot mod in mine - definitely recommended. That said, as yours is a pre ‘79 you’ll get a whining noise if you push the preamp above 6 ish. No big deal though - if you wanted more, you have the TC

Or, someone could ditch that hot "mod" and make sure the amp is operating correctly first. If the amp has a lot of gain in the preamp then properly shield the input; not limit the use of the amp.
