They are great little amps. Obviously a bit cold/sterile next to a tube amp, but they definitely rock hard for Metal.
exactly! My plan is to see what they sound like through the power section of my Mesa Mark 2C+ !

Changed my mind; those bands I mentioned got GREAT tones with 8100s. It’s kind of like an evil Roland JC 120 in that the built in chorus effect really adds to the tone lol

Something to try, is blending 8100 tracks in with tube amp tracks in a stereo quad or 8 track rhythm guitar bus.

Since they have a very different frequency response to most high gain tube amps, it can create a really full sounding rhythm guitar sound.

See "Clayman" etc

Can you record a nice and philthy 'Slowly We Rot' tone with this?
I imagine cranking bass and mids and rolling back your guitar's tone knob should get you there.

Challenge accepted! Although I am not familiar with these Obituary riffs I will do my best !

I saw that tour at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was a killer show. It was Meshuggah, Sick of it All, & Slayer. Meshuggah was super tight.
Yes sir that was it ! I was into slayer and Meshuggah and some punk kids asked me to go because they liked Sick of it All . They could not follow Meshuggah at all lol
