How are you liking it so far?? I am not really playing much metal these days, but those amps have always made me curious.
 
I love it! The graphic eq gives you a huge tonal range to play with. I think what I like the most is how defined the power section is being a 400w MOSFET amp. The valve preamp gives it all just enough warmth and dynamics. I've never played a VHT/Fryette but the Randall certainly has the dry and defined tone people always associate with those amps.
 
I was always interested in these when they 1st came out. Hybrid amps right?

wtf? :confused: ive literally never heard of this thing. whats wrong with me? actually seems pretty cool though
 
I used to have the V2 Archetype.
Absolutely huge crushing amp.
Worked best for low tunings.
 
A load of people have never heard of them. Possibly because they are hybrid amps? They use 3 12ax7's and a 12at7 to warm the Poweramp up, which is a big ol' 400w MOSFET amp! I down tune to D standard at the lowest and just love how clear the dirty tones are! On a side note it sounds great at bedroom levels!
