NAD: Uberschall Rev Green (Disappointed)

I always have a rev blue in my lineup, i hated the TJ i owned, i tried the rev green a few times but didnt like it as much as the blue. I have came across the ultra at a store yet so i havent tried it, and hate selling amps these days, so until i try the ultra in a store its doubtful i will buy one anytime soon. Im tired of selling amps i love to fund other amps and then a month later decide i dont really like it and then have to deal with selling and shipping. Those days are over, im happy with my amps ive been playing for the past 10 yrs.

Did it have fresh preamp tubes? Amps blow donkey dick if they have weak tubes in them. I just bought a DSL with its OG tubes and it was lifeless until I replaced the circuit board (well known issue) and retubed it. Completely different amp

Yes, I retubed it all the way around. Wasn't tubes, just kind of a smooth tone without much growl or bark. Like I said, it did grow on me for what it was, but definitely had something completely different built up in my head from all the posts I read over many years about how evil it sounded.

Had them all several times over. The 6L6 Ultra will never leave. Best High gain amp ever for me. That includes many and I am addicted to it.Does way more than metal and way more than any Uber before it. Amazing amp.
