Just got my new Warshall. Still the honeymoon phase. It is an angry and loud bitch. I still don't understand it's magic. I hit the strings and it yells at me. I don't trust it, but for now I think I have control of it. If I ever feel like it is turning against me, I will stomp it to dust.

clips are coming
just had to dial it in. I don't know that i dialed it in perfect, but it took me a second to make it happy with the boost. I had a great open sound, but the palm mutes were too tight. Now I have it dialed in more me. Give me a little more time fucking with it, and then i will record some shit.
 
I am having way too much fun playing the amp. But I hate when people don't make clips. My ears are fatigued and ringing. But i will give you some shitty c.lips anyway
probabably too much gain and shit mic skills. I will make better clips tomorrow.

Sounds great! Basically what I was expecting, the Wizard sound with some of that JCM800 rawness and nastiness. What speakers are in your Mills out of curiosity?
 
k100 and v 30. That is on the k100. My ears are really ringing good, but i didn't really capture the sound of the thing well. clip sounds kinda muffled. But tomorrow will be a better day. I can tell you I love the amp. I wasn't expecting this. I thought i would like it, but I thought it would be a lot different. Definitely picked the right amp. Thanks, Mhenson.
 
One of the weird things about it is how immediate it is. It's like when i am trem picking, it sounds too fast. There is less lag on this than a solidstate. Really weird.

Exactly! I don’t usually like non-vintage amps because they lack that raw, nasty sound I like, but wizards are one of the very few exceptions of recent made amps. Maybe now you’ll forget about the Twin Jet and Fryette’s lol

I'm not a pro or something, but I obviously spend a lot of time and energy with that stuff 😂

I appreciate it. Sometimes i feel like everything i am doing is wrong. IR's make me feel like a badass, but the actual micing can be a bitch.
 
I think one thing you can probably hear is i need to get more centered on the speaker. I like this 90s fucking grunge sound so i stay to the exterior of the speaker all the time

That was literally the first thing I was going to suggest was a Fredman clip 😂

So you could blend two 57s with both on axis and off axis
