A semi hollow floyd guitar..........................PRS must have really enjoyed pulling Neal away from gibson to make that

Now what lawyer or doctor is going to buy that?!?!?!?! :hys: :hys: :hys:

Good for Neal, still enjoying himself and playing through monster rigs

"Strung with D'addario strings...as far as you know"...classic!

Those PRSs look sweet...when did he jump ship from Gibson? Bummer they skipped over that Anderson

He never sounded better then when he was in Santana and early pre-Perry Journey.

Several years now, think it was due to gibson selling floyd LPs for far cheaper than his sig LP. Something like that.

That Anderson is the one he uses in the Paul Rogers gigs I believe, I was hoping he pulled it as well.

So when a Gibson rep sees a video like this do go off like Billy Martin or Lou Pinella when they ejected from a game?

Neil has a nice endorsement deal with Blackstar, and uses it with the Axe Fx live.

He uses the Axe Fx for 95% of his studio stuff now.

I've often wondered how much guitar techs make for a living. I'm sure the bigger the player, the more the tech probably makes.

Yeah, so what! You're going back 4 decades and I bet your wee wee doesn't work as good as it did back then either.

Anyone know what pickups are in the bridge of the PRS ?

The guy said PRS pickups but every interview I've read, Neal says he likes the Gibson 57classic or old PAF's if he can get them.

On Live in Manila he used a Zematis for Wheel in the Sky. I didn't see it or any Les Pauls.

Met his tech earlier this year in Sweden and posted about this very rig 6 months ago. Seemed no one believed me that he was using Blackstars and the thread dropped like a rock. I stood on the side of the stage next to his tech for the show. Dude had monster tone. Sounded great.

When you say he never sounded better, do you mean tone, playing or both? I dont know about that but I cant knock his work with Santana and I love the first couple of Journey albums; they were more of a fusion band then.. His solo albums kick all kinds of ass and I love his Work with Perry and the guys afterwards.

His ears are as shot as his failed plastic surgery

Gotcha, It was definitely a lot more stripped down and straight forward which certainley didnt suck but for my personal tastes, I liked when it became a bit more bigger and soaring.

These days , he seems to use so much processing which gets overbearing but the core tone has always been cool IMO. I saw him do a gig with Soul Circus here in NYC and there was so much delay and chorus , you could barely hear what he was doing and that was disappointing and Ive heard that its pretty common complaint with him nowadays...

That would be pretty stupid if that's the reason. I doubt he planned on them selling many at the ridiculous street price of $9K. The main reason of him getting a signature axe built is he wanted a Floyd and a Sustainer on it, features not normally offered. And there's no PRS NS model available either, so I wouldn't think he worried about making money off it.

A few years ago he was selling all/most of his previously made PRS customs on EBay. This guy would fit in perfect around here, wouldn't know the right gear if he owned it 3X or it bit him in the ass.

Those PRS' in the video are all really nice, wouldn't mind owning any of those.
