When you say he never sounded better, do you mean tone, playing or both? I dont know about that but I cant knock his work with Santana and I love the first couple of Journey albums; they were more of a fusion band then.. His solo albums kick all kinds of ass and I love his Work with Perry and the guys afterwards.costello":1m1k506m said:He never sounded better then when he was in Santana and early pre-Perry Journey.

Yeah, so what! You're going back 4 decades and I bet your wee wee doesn't work as good as it did back then either.

Gotcha, It was definitely a lot more stripped down and straight forward which certainley didnt suck but for my personal tastes, I liked when it became a bit more bigger and soaring.costello":1gjhv0pr said:Gainzilla":1gjhv0pr said:When you say he never sounded better, do you mean tone, playing or both? Several years now, think it was due to gibson selling floyd LPs for far cheaper than his sig LP. Something like that.
That Anderson is the one he uses in the Paul Rogers gigs I believe, I was hoping he pulled it as well.
