I agree with Kage....His sound is super processed....at least it was to me when using the TC Gsystem stuff....I am curious if this actually tones that down some?

NS playing Blackstar and AXFX............ :lame:

Badronald................ nobody is beyond his critque

$ talks and shit walks.......................I would play them too if they threw money at me.

The guy who has been Journey for what, like 30 years, needs money from Blackstar amps. Ridiculous.

Of course I saw in the news a while back that he was getting sued by the husband of that woman he's bangin'. Maybe Blackstar is paying for his lawyers.

And you're right. Nobody is safe from my critique, especially me! ;)

This guy would fit in perfect around here, wouldn't know the right gear if he owned it 3X or it bit him in the ass.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Perhaps he likes playing different gear? Switch it up to keep it fresh?

"Strung with D'addario strings...as far as you know"...classic!

Those PRSs look sweet...when did he jump ship from Gibson? Bummer they skipped over that Anderson

Several years now, think it was due to gibson selling floyd LPs for far cheaper than his sig LP. Something like that.

That Anderson is the one he uses in the Paul Rogers gigs I believe, I was hoping he pulled it as well.

That would be pretty stupid if that's the reason. I doubt he planned on them selling many at the ridiculous street price of $9K. The main reason of him getting a signature axe built is he wanted a Floyd and a Sustainer on it, features not normally offered. And there's no PRS NS model available either, so I wouldn't think he worried about making money off it.

A few years ago he was selling all/most of his previously made PRS customs on EBay. This guy would fit in perfect around here, wouldn't know the right gear if he owned it 3X or it bit him in the ass.

Those PRS' in the video are all really nice, wouldn't mind owning any of those.

I see you play gibson.................... :)

A ton of people wanted that sig guitar due to the better more updated design, the heal alone was worth it but gibson took Neal's model and sold it as the assess. No I did not mis-spell it either

He is a pro musician that gets paid to play, he can flip whatever he wants. We are just want-a-bees sitting at home so I would not compare us to Neal Schon. The guy like him or hate him is a legend.

I am sure Neal knows good gear when he plays it.

Armed with a Marshall 1X12 combo and MIM Strat he owned the stage. Sadly his tone has, IMO, gone downhill in the last decade or two.

But no Les Pauls?

"Nope. They rubbed me wrong, man. I worked very hard with them on my signature model that we did several years ago, and we got Les' blessing and everything – Les was a good friend of mine. We changed the heel on the guitar, changed the angle of the neck, showed them how you put a Floyd Rose in a Les Paul without the thing sticking five miles out. We did a lot. And they ended up telling me that my guitars wouldn't sell because they were too expensive, even though every one of them sold out – this, despite the fact that they put some ridiculous price tag on them, like $10,000 or $12,000 a guitar.

"So they took my ideas and stuck them on the Axcess model, which is a cheaper edition of what was my guitar. We got into it legally for a moment about the heel of the guitar, which was very much like a Schon. Eventually I just said, 'I'm gonna let this go. Forget about it.' So I walked away, and I'm glad I did."

He never sounded better then when he was in Santana and early pre-Perry Journey.

Yeah, so what! You're going back 4 decades and I bet your wee wee doesn't work as good as it did back then either.

l love Neal Schon, but wanting money for the heal thing is going too far. Like he's the first person to ever do that to a guitar.....

The axcesses are very cool btw. My buddy has one and it plays great.

GMP Guitars did the " NEIL" ( Neil Giraldo) that is ....way before Gibson or Neal ever thought about it....

It would be classic to find the last 5 tours of "NEAL Gear Review"

Like I said, I love Neil, He's one of my absolute favorite players. But, I don't know how many times I said to myself, "man I wish this was cut away a little at the heal. Can't be the first time it ever came up. Maybe he helped them promote it from the traditional Les Paul?

Im with ya, look at my avatar, I worship the man. I see where youre coming from but Gibson didnt entertain that scarfed heel until Neal asked for it. I think that he had his guy Gary Brawer do it originally and then they went to Gibson and he kind of got railroaded... Obviously, we dont know the whole story but Im inclined to believe Neal.

That said, those PRS single cuts look like ass...

Neal's guitar tech wasn't too excited about the rundown. Didn't want to talk through anything at all...
